For you S13 owners, which do you prefer... coupe or hatch?

The hatch is like a fat woman..... ugly, dosn't perform, and has chassis flex like jello.....

If I wanted something that looked like a Prelude, I would buy a Prelude. The coupe is fugly, the hatch is beautiful. It has class, it actually looks like the car its meant to be. The coupe is acceptable with a Silvia front end, but the 180 still beats it any day of the week. Especially the Sil-80.

If I wanted something that looks like a Ford Probe, or a Toyota Celica, I would have bought the HB. The coupe resembles nothing, in my opinion (other than the silvia, hehe).

I've had two S13 coupes (both white) and the only other 240sx I would buy is a '97-'98 SE.

i prefer the coupes but i also like the hb. the s13 is a more my style than the s14

Don't get me wrong Dauntless, we're not trying to hate on you HB guys. I mean, we all still love you because we're all fellow 240sx enthusiasts. The only way we're gonna hate or throw you to the wolves, is if you put some ugly a** stickers or 747 wing on your car. hehe

i've only seen like one or two HB's that i like, other than the 180sx and sil-80. those are bad a$$. the coupes just look more like a performance car to me. but what do i know, i'm just a guy w/ a pretty boy s14:p

It all comes down to personal preference, but the '89 S13 hatchback was a very clean design. Looks great from all angles. Can't say that about many cars. But there are certain angles from which the coupe is just not as clean looking as the HB. Sorry.

Hatch. The coupes aren't bad, but I just like the hatch a little better. It's more aggressive looking, and I still fool some people into thinking mine is new!

I don't care what you drive, you can't deney that the coupe is lighter and has a stiffer chassis.

The fastback has better weight distribution than the coupe and I can carry much bigger stuff than you coupe guys. And that's just functionality; the fastback also looks more like a sports car.

The hatch is just a harder looking car straight out of the box.The S13 coupe only looks correct with the Silvia front end.Thats just my opinion though.

Why would a heavyer car with more chassis flex be better for drifting?

Of course, coupe. I own an S14, but I want to buy an S13 coupe now. It's lighter, has stronger chassis, and handles better. It makes more sense with the original bad boy, S13.
