I've driven both. I like my FB better, especially for road racing because the back end holds on better stock for stock. After driving my friend's coupe, I can see where it might be easier break the back end free with it being stiffer and all. But personally, I'd prefer a properly powered FB. You still get the excellent weight distribution, it runs well for road racing, and with the right power it is just as easy to start and maintain a drift. And if all you want to do is drift, you can get a rear STB to make the rear stiffer than a coupe.
We can argue about applications 'till we're blue in the face, but for both cars, there are things you can do to make them more equal(STB for FB, weight balance for coupe). IMHO, it comes down to two points:
-Which look do you like better?-Would you rather have the FB for cargo, or the decreased weight of the coupe?
Maybe I'm missing something, but that's what matters to me
