how the hell do you get the existing stock lenses off of the headlight assembly?.... it looks damn near impossible from what i can tell. also, does anyone know how much new headlight assemblies are from nissan? this is just for comparison...

Heat gun and a flat-head screwdriver. Solves *all* problems;)

i guess...you gotta love the heat gun. my bro made a raised-letter leather cover for the rear of his '01 Trans Am, all he used was some cardboard, mdf, leather, and a heat gun. sweet.....

i guess if i'm gonna try it i better have a backup plan for my headlights. maybe this weekend, i'm kind of in the middle of college orientation right now... :)

yeah just pop the clips and use the heatgun (or hairdryer works just as well) and slowly start prying it off, and either try saving the black sealant around the edge or i'm suer you can find some new stuff at an autoparts store. Also if you want your lights to look close to the white car at the beginning of the post, just carefully masking tape off those areas do some real light sanding and a coat or 2 of primer(if your using black primer i'd doubt you'd even need a top coat). But really you could use any color say to match your car. Just be careful of overspray. The headlights should be easy but I need to talk to SystemQ on the corner lenses, i'm going to take one of mine off tomarrow and see if similar to the headlights, didn't pay enough attention when i was realigning them afew weeks ago.

Oh btw guys when I get my set in, I'll make sure to take pictures and do a walkthrough on how to take the old lenses off, painting parts of the reflector(like the white car) and installing the new lenses.

NEWS FLASH!!! PRICE QUOTE IN

Hi Brandon,

Our discount on these items is not so hot, but if you can drum up at least10 people, we can knock the headlight covers down to $239.95 and the cornercovers to $124.95. These prices include shipping from Japan, but not toyour door--that price depends on how many are purchased, which willdetermine how big the box is, etc.

If you want to proceed, just let me know. Thanks

Well guys any of you intrested?

For a bit more than 240, I bet a set of Projectors would look better. Plus, no effort on the install...hardly any anyhow.

flyingduck- yeah i agree with you about the price i was alil pissed about it. 239 plus i'm guessing around $10 a set to ship them all to my place then another 10 or so to ship them out to everyone else:( so theres another 20 bucks. I'm definatly going to see if I can get them to drop the price anymore and if they'd ship out to each person that purchases instead of shipping them all hear might save afew bucks. Also trying to get their prices on individual sets so if we can't get 10 people together we'll at least know about how much they'll be down the road. I'm really not too enthused in spending over 400 on new corner and headlight lenses.

Socal and S14- I haven't heard anything back from Magic Garage I'll try giving them a call tomarrow and if I don't here anything then I'll call again and again till I find out prices and availability. " For a bit more than 240, I bet a set of Projectors would look better"-- I don't think its going to be just a bit more for the projectors my estimated guess is at least 250 to 450 a per projector, don't set me on a price cause right now i don't know. I just remember paying $250 for a new headlight when i wrecked my car, and remember just like the lenses they'll have to be shipped from japan, then shipped to everyone. Why do unique parts have to be so god d@mn expensive..

D@mn you vengence:) how much did your coversion cost. I was trying to get a unique and cheaper way than doing a front end conversion, but these prices systemQ gave me are pretty steep. The s15 front is very sexy indeed but to do it i've found the lights like 500-600, fenders 300 or so, 200-400 front bumper and never really looked for a hood price.

i agree s15's front ends are very very pleaseing to look at, but to shell out close to 1k for it not to mention painting it to match.... I could think of many other things i would like to sink my hard earned cash in to i.e rims, coil-overs, ect. i just want a simple face lift that i can do myself. i think somone should go to that shop that sells the projectors and slap them with one of our yellow lenses and say, "WHAT YOU DONT WANA MAKE MONEY?":ylsuper :thinker :icesangel

lol i can pull my passenger lense and fly over to cali:). I sent the guy 2 emails but nothing yet but then again one of the guys earlier in the thread had called them and an older lady said Jay(i'm guessing the owner) would be back on Tuesday....so maybe he'll get me the prices Tuesday or Wensday. Right now my lenses look really weird I have one thats like 7 months old perfectly clear and shiney and the other is an original 95 lens and has that pretty yellow tint all of us love. At least your guys headlights are matching yellow:)
