Hey you bought the batmobile. You should have just sold the altima, you could have got a much better 240 with the cash. In my opinion you got screwed in that trade, a 2000 altima for a 1990 240sx

yeaaaa. i guess since i cant go backwards i gotta plan my steps carefully. i was driving the car around today and the suspension feels really funny. a bit TOO springy? the car is lowered and on the springs it says sportsline = eibach? im wondering if they previous owner installed struts & shocks along with it? anyway to tell? also, the car kinda feels unstable on the highway. everytime i go over a slight ridge in the road feels like the car wobbles a bit. the hoods feels really light, prolly not OEM. i was thinking about getting hood pins (hopefully tahts not rice) just to secure it better to the car. as u guys can see there is a slit in the hood and it is letting air into the engine bay, which i think is good but because the hood is so light, im thinking mayb its lifting up a little too much?

I would start by removing the hood, and the side skirts, and the front bumper, and the rear bumper, and the spoiler, AND THEN... get paint stripper and get all that black off of there. Sand it all down after you get a silvia front end conversion (or any stock one). Get a nice (not ricey) set of wheels. THEN get a nice rear bumper and MILD if anything side skirts. Finally you paint (not flat or matte!) and then you will never have anyone's children stare at you and ask if your batman.

P.S. Where do I send this hospital bill for my cracked rib?

Ehh at least it's all one color....... Not the worst i've seen.

Honestly i think that looks better than those drift jakcasses with zipties holding upk every panel on the car and has like 5 different colors.Neither are my style but if you like it that's cool enjoy it.

As far as your bouncyness with those sportlines it's probably because the shocks are blown. Most likely used stock ones. Those are the same springs i have and they're the biggest drop you can get with springs for an s13 so you have to get good shocks to go along with them. Anything done motor wise? interior? audio?

Ok, first off you said "Been scourging these forums for a while now and didnt really register." so you should've been fully aware of what's hot and what's not correct? If you haven't already done so, viewing the "Best looking s13's EVER thread" should give you a VERY VERY VERY good idea about what a proper s13 should look like. Second, a molded body kit means some idiot took the time to fill in the gaps between the bodykit and the actual body of the car with a fiberglass resin, and sanded it down to smooth it out, so that the kit just looks like it's part of the actual car. (I just threw up in my mouth) And third, ricey just means like, big ridiculously looking kits (like the one you have) and super huge el flamboyant wings (also like what you have) nice bright vibrant look at me colors and decals and that type of retarded s#!*. So basically, all you should do is go out and find all stock usdm or jdm body parts, which ever floats your big a$$, boat, i.e. hood, front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, etc. to eliviate the eye soar you got not now and you'll be on your way to greatness P.S. NICO Welcomes you, with open arms

i agree very much so. In any circumstances, combat/invader kits = FAIL. Sorry stealthy240, truth hurts.

Looks like alot of work but as long as you got some hook ups and connections with the right people, you can save your hatch. Just stay away from those other ricers. LONG LIVE J-SPEC!

To me honestly i don't see a big difference between the two. only difference i see is that one style is preferred by people who jackoff to drift videos.... and the other is preferred by those who jackoff to fast and furious movies... at least his is one solid color. why put something on and leave it unpainted?

thanks for that comment. i believe they are the OE struts and shocks. i was thinking mayb they were blown too ebcause the ride is way too springy. and YES they the ride is like lowered by 3 inches i believe. according to previous owner. In terms of engine, its bone stock. There is a bolt on SRI (no brand) and a test pipe. Interior is pretty much stock. i opened one of the door panels yesterday cuz the door lock was stuck and i saw a total messed, from the speakers to the power window harnessing. its gonna b hell fixing it all. BUT, i did fix the jammed door. thats a start i guess.

ohhh almost forgot, i was looking at eibach strut/shock combo and they look like a good companion for the sportline lowering springs. what do u have in ur ride? anything u would recommend. my budget is extremely tight. well my budget is part of the reason why i traded for this 240. i couldnt sell my altima. i knew if i kept it it would've lasted me forever, but i wanted to get rid of it. bad trade on my end, but i dont regret it. if i can fix up this ride. its gonna b with me forever.

no i think i wont kill myself it. its still savable haha. anywho, i think my focus now is to strengthen the car mechanically. THEN ill go and fix this body work mess. Which honestly, i dont really mind and cant mind right now since i got a tight a** budget.

tein arent cheap haha. i saw some cheap ones on ebay. godspeed or what not. i gotta do some research before i dump that kinda money. time to save up and research more. they got KYB on ebay too haha. gotta love ebay. OO anyone have anything against ebay strut and tie bars? i was thinking about getting those since they're cheap and i can actually get a decent set of rear up stb and mayb a set of anti-sway bars. just to hold hte body together for now and evenly distribute the bumps and what not.

ok im being serious when i say this but u should just rip the bumper, sideskirts and wing off tomorrow morning and drive around with no body parts on it

with the suspension do not buy from ebay, i got no experience with ebay parts but i heard alot of horror stories, and since im pretty shore your not going to bring it to the track i dont think you shouldnt get coilovers

i think all of us should donate a couple of buck so he can buy a stock chunki bumper

im also suprised the car didnt come with haha

look at my sig v that kinda aplies to you

I totally agree with troskinatior. You have to rip that garbage off ASAP!!!! Your setting cars back 15 years with that. We came such a long way with our rides now. Looking at your ride reminds me of the Hispanic punks with their tasteless Hondas and fart cans in NJ.

I dont mean to bust your balls but research a lot more and get intouch with your "Inner Nissan". You talk like you found out what a car is 4 days ago. Nico has a lot to offer. Ive been following and reading everything since 04 and there is still more to take in (I know, I got very low posts but I rather stay in the shadows).

PS. Never show this on Zilvia because they will make you light yourself on fire.

Ebay's "jdm tyte" parts are a waste of money, PERIOD. We've all had hands on exp. You get what you pay for.

my $.02

1. That car is hideous absolutely horid, i havent seen many S13s in worse condition.i feel bad for it bcause its molded on, so cutting is pretty much ur only option.

2. it has little lights as so to attract attention to the intercooler that isnt there?

3. Godspeed coilovers arent as bad as people who have never used them make them out to be.with a car that ugly Godspeed coils cant hurt it

4. Gas station pics dont work when ur car is matt black, it does reflect the lights.

If you can de-rice this car do your best, if you cant go all out. fart can and sticker shopping lists on the doors. live it up.no such thing as a halfway ricer

I usually don't post anything unless i have something constructive/nice to say but i will make an exception. Also, i did not read a single post in this entire thread besides the first one. I just wanted to tell you how horrified i was by your use of the word "sexy" when you described the atrocity that is your new car. This car is HIDEOUS! That is not my opinion, it is FACT!
