I've searched hi and low and have found a few different places where you can buy the R32 GTR LSD 4:11, but only one had the ability to order it straight from Japan whenever you want it. Here's the info on who to contact and how to order:

Mitchell RajmoolieJDM-IMPORTS.com416.803.7191 (Canada)[email protected]

Mention that you are with NICO and that you want the 6 bolt R32 GTR LSD for your Q45 and that red sent you. Talk to Mitch. These guys are located in Canada so if you call beware the intl charges.

Ok. This is what you are ordering:

Here are the prices again:BNR32 rear diff 6 bolt flange: $400 CAD = $342.38 USDYou can ship one of two different ways:Shipping via SAL Air 7-9 day: $300 CAD = $256.79 USD Shipping via SAL Surface 4-6 weeks: $150 CAD = $128.39 USDYou also get a tracking number to watch the progress of the shipment. Going the Surface shipping and waiting the 4-6 weeks comes out to $470.77 totall. Not bad from what i've found so far from anyone. This will be shipped from Japan to you.

Now I have found some other places that, at times, carry this differential, but it's much more expensive and they may not have it in stock. Feel free to search for yourself to see that the $470 price tag is worth the 4-6 week wait.

Remember also that you will need the companion flange and speedo from the J30 from Joe. I would also suggest the Energy poly Bushings for the front and rear as well. Part # 7.1108R. They are actually for a 90 to 96 300z, but will work in your G50.

Well, I've done what I can to get this for as little money as possible and with as much availability to the product as possible. If you find anything that compares please let us know. I think this is truly one of the best mods you can do for your Q45. Just ask those who have the 4:08, 4:10 or this 4:11! They will never go back.

Don't forget, talk to Mitch.

Is this a direct bolt on for a 93 g50? Also what is the companion flange? and why do you need the speedo for a j30? I'm just curious beacuse I'm thinking about doing this.

Great work- Now have you done the swap yet? Actually, has anybody actually swapped in THIS dif to know it works? I fell for the "the Q45 uses the same springs as a 300zx" a while back and don't want to waste any more money. I have watched the other threads about the different diffs and there seems to be a lot of opinions and ideas about the benefits.Do we know what to expect in the quarter mile as far as an actual increased performance? I am at a turning point with my 94 Q and must decide if I am keeping it and dumping some serious cash into it or selling it and buying something else that is sportier. This mod may help me decide!

Thanks again for doing the homework.....

Scott

The companion flange connects to the driveshaft. You need the speedo because it's from a 3:96 rear end and it's the closest to the 4:11 the GTR LSD gives you that will fit your Q. It'll be about 6-7% off instead of over 30%. More accurate mileage numbers.

James has one on his Q and Jeff is getting ready to put one on his Q and I got an e-mail from another Q owner who did it and is happy with it. It's best to wait until Jeff puts his on to find out how easy it hooked up or ask James.

this Differential is the EASIEST way to go because you don't have to swap out the internals into a Q differential Case. You only have to get the speedo and companion flange. Let's see what Jeff says about it directly bolting in or James can chime in.

This Diff will get you off the line a little quicker, but I wouldn't expect more the 1/2 sec difference in the 1/4 if that much. It's purely an answer to the off the line sluggishness the Q gives us.

Did we ever create a closed loop vs rpm vs load [TPS] chart not sure exactly when the ecu goes to fixed map.............depends on how far you push accelerator.

Robert should be able to tell us.

I found a rear diff. from an s-14 silvia for $300. The guy said it had lsd and it is a 6 bolt. How do you tell what the ratio is in them? Is this the same as the r32 diff?

I believe the S14 uses the 6-bolt pattern that the J-30 uses. It is a triple 2-bolt pattern rather than an equally spread 6-bolt pattern.

Have the guy send you a picture of it before you buy it.

I had to put off my install, because I did not get back from my vacation as early as I thought I would. I have a Corvette rally this weekend, but might find the time to do the swap on Sunday. I expect it to take me less than 2 hours to do the entire swap. I could be a little optimistic. It depends on how hard it will be to remove the custom exhaust, and whether I get a lift or have to use jack stands. The weather is a factor as well.

I will keep you guys posted, and provide some pics of the work.

Here are pic's of the s14/ j30/s13 output flange of the diffs are the same J30 late 94-97 had the 3 sets of 2 bolts that Jeff spoke of and 93-early 94 j30 came with the 5 bolt flanges. The Q has the 6 evenly spaced bolts and the 90-96 Z32 also has the 5 evenly spaced bolts like the 93-94 J30

I can tell you the abs sensor on my 95 is different.I would swap out the gears. For $480 it would be well worth it! As far as fitting, yes it would fit.

Look what I scored on ebay today. It looks a little dirty but the guy told me its in perfect working condition. Take a look and let me know what you guys think. Copy and paste this link. It looks identical to the one that red has posted in this thread. Did they all come with 4:11's ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

That does look pretty much the same. Red might be able to look at it and tell since he has put so muchtime into these. You might have to just pull the rear coverand look to see what gears it actually has to be sure.I'm still skeptical if the rear case will even work. It might fit but it would not be a perfect fit. Like I said before, take thegears out and put them in oe case.

Looks about right..... looks like you scored..

this mod HAS been done and IT IS proven!!!!

Just so you know, you want to get the Q45 companion flange, not the J30 companion flange!!! jsut wanted to clarify that!

just pull the flange off your Q diff and slap it on the GTR

Looks very much the same to me. I'm not sure what the RB26 refers to in the item title, but I can find out. That price is exceptional!

Yes, you want the Q45 companion flange not the J30. Just use the companion flange you'd be removing from the Q instead of buying one.

Let me find out what the RB26 is. So far it looks like a good find.

Hey i know this isnt EXACTLY on topic, but i know you guys were complaining about the speedo issues that come with putting the higher gear in, and how the only solution would be from a j30 speedo...

but i saw this when my friend pointed out the gear replacements for s2000's and i was wondering if anyone has even given this thought or if it would work with our cars...

http://www.blackrobotics.com/http://www ... lowbox.php

looks pretty promising if you knew how to do the wiring, and would be a way better solution over the "band-aid" fix of using the j30's speedo!

throw out some input peeps!

well its definiltely a viscous LSD, and the R32 GTR (we know its a gtr diff due to the output flanges) only came with the 4.08/4.11 (whatever you wanna call it).... so... 1+1=2

Thanks for the info Wes. I'm going to get it slapped in there asap with the poly bushings. I'll let you guys know how it goes, I can't wait to get it.
