Yep pilot nailed it. I used a hand file because I didn't have a die grinder here. Just took some elbow grease haha. Also, make sure you run to Lowes or some hardware place and get the right size nuts - they are metric.

I got mine from RockAuto for like $16 a piece. Plus shipping

that's a lot of work, Ethan, wouldn't you be better off getting a nice usdm vg30dett and do the tt swap?

It's all done now, and I didn't have the money to do the TT swap. I'm getting tired of everyone asking me that; seems like a lot of people just don't understand the concept of being broke.

Yeah I could have done it. And of course, I wish I did do it. But you don't always get what you want in life. And I'm perfectly content.

Ethan, how much did all this cost you? overbore, etc. i can't think it's cheap, would a tt swap cost that much more, is my question, i guess.

Vulcan, the rebuild wasn't at all cheap, but like I said before I didn't have enough money to do the swap. I wish I did. You do the math and figure it out how much more it would have been, idc.

If this thread were my house I'd throw your a** out.

Everybody else....

Thanks

whoa, did i say something to offend you? just asking if a tt swap would have been that much more, no need to get upset.

i thinki he got got mad was cuz he said he didnt have enough money to do a TT swap. a good tt swap wil cost you any where to 5to 10 k. hes rebuild may have been under 4. 4 grand for a rebuilt NA is nice not having to work about it , plus its compression is equal thru out , which wil make him run better than all other 20 year old Zs, myself included

It costed me around $1,500 as a guesstimate. The swap might happen later on in life, but for now the TT discussion is moot.

45 miles on the new engine. I am loving every minute of it...Just tonite, I realized (again) how bad I need new struts though hahahah
