It looks similar to the Modified Concepts exhaust I'm running on my Maxima. There really aren't too many different exhaust manufacturers until you get into the high end stuff. Ask them where it's produced. You'll also want to be careful since that's in Canada so unless you're also in Canada, you'll get hit with all kinds of duties, taxes and fees to import it. Especially if it's not NAFTA eligible.

That's a good point about importing. The more I think about it, I'm leaning towards buying a couple mufflers and resonators, then having a local shop custom a true dual setup.

By the way, I had a 2004 Maxima. Dropped on eibach pros. Was a lot of fun in the mountains.

Had that mfg's exhaust on my Lexus GS. Liked it and quality was fine. BUT I did get it when they were starting out or something so the cost to my door was only $140.

Mine is on Eibach Pro Kit with forged Rays G coupe wheels with Greddy b-pipe and Modified Concepts mufflers.

I got it from Ebay. I searched M45 exhaust.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-2010-M35-M ... 91&vxp=mtr

As soon as I sell my GSR I am going to take my extra exhaust manifolds to the shop and have the JBA fabricated and I will install. Buy some high flow cats and my exhaust will be completed.

All exhaust systems out there work for the M, only thing that doesn't bolt up to an X is any y pipe. Needs to be a specific one.

This exhaust doesn't come with Y pipe so it will work on AWD as well. As Mex mentioned above, the only part that will be different between RWD and AWD is the Y-Pipe.

All Y-pipes from G (RWD), FX, and 350z will work on RWD M as well. In fact, I use Y pipe made for FX on my M and Y-pipe made for 350z on my FX35 RWD.

I just got my exhaust in earlier today. I checked the pipes and one gasket is ripped, a few dents on one of the mufflers but nothing bad and the mid pipe where it connects to the Y pipe has silicone on the end. The welds on the tips are really clean and the welds for the bottom of the car aren't as nice but look strong. Hopefully I will have the time to install before the weekend is over.

I used to love E114. They had some bad a** looking M's on their site and great mods.

They inspired me to get me M.

What ever happened to them? I know they went out of business.

I'll tell you what. I'd trade my Megan full catback for an Element 114 kit. They did great work. And it was a bit quieter than the Megan. If it was a legit kit.

I just know they went out of business or they just quit making for the M. I was talking to the guy that sold me the exhaust and he said they were taking up to much warehouse space and that they had to many of them.

Hey guys, I'm the guy who has these warehoused. Was talking with Jim who's selling these on ebay and said there was a thread here. These are real Element 114 exhausts we're holding the last batch they didn't buy before they went out of business. I bought these last batch from the manufacturer because they can't exactly sell off stock from an old client themselves, looks bad and bad for business. So i'm the middle man and keep all the names out of it :) Good for them and good for you.

I have also sold 25 BMW 335i exhaust made by Rennart who is in the same situation as Element 114. Both companies used the manufacturer I'm working with for their production. What they would do is make 100 at a time so they are made cheaper, then warehouse and sell them to the smaller companies say 20-25 at a time and their spread was the difference between the volume size. Unfortunately in both cases the companies ended the relationship or went out of business and we're sitting on 25 or so of them.

To address a few concerns:
1) You will NOT pay duties or customers to receive the exhausts, it's all in the paperwork :)
2) There is limited quantities I have 25 and thats it after that they are gone
3) These should fit the AWD as it's the Y thats diff (as stated) though I have never tested one cause I'm just reselling and the info on them from E114 is long gone.

These systems were $550 at cost to be produced by the manufacturer and were sold (i believe) at $999. So at 399 shipped these are a huge steal, this is a limited time thing before they disappear. If your interested buy though Ebay (i'm not selling directly) or email the seller or I'll ask him to post here. The seller is a huge Nissan guy himself whos been around the scene for a while.

Regards,

just installed, no sound clips but on start up it sounds a little throaty in a good way, driving you hear it but its quite with just enough noise with no music to let you know that there is a performance exhaust installed. I haven't had it over 40mph yet and it has been below 2.8k but i can say when I step on the gas from the stop it has a noticeable amount of extra GO

When you get a chance please post a video for us. Also, I'd like to see how the rear tips look on the OEM bumper compared to the Megans. Thanks for the review!

I am Jim the guy selling these Element 114 exhausts on eBay. I've been around the Nissan forums for a few years, you can check me out on maxima.org, most of the guys know me there. Although my Maxima is now history it still has the quickest 1/4 mile time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVs-38MD ... r_embedded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0Rj76q5Vyw Bought a G35 coupe last fall and in the process of getting it prepared got the upcoming racing season.

If you guys can get together I will do a group buy, can't promise too much as they are already close to my cost.

These are excellent quality (not made in China) and I put the last one made for the G35 coupe on my car. I love the sound, close to stock until you get on it. You won't be disappointed with the quality.

There is a short video on eBay.

I installed this kit myself back in 2009. The quality control was bad. I recieved two different sets of mufflers due to them being dented up pretty bad.
The quality of the materials are great. The fit, is subpar. You really have to fight to get the mufflers adjusted to get the tips level. Unfortunately, I could never get the tips level. The driver side one was really bad. The gap from the top of the oval tip to the cutout in the rear bumber was rediculous. About 2" or more.
Plus, the oval tips did not look better than the OEM quad exhaust.
My fix, I took the car to a muffler shop. They tried to straighten the mufflers on their lift with no luck. So I told them I was going to order a set of polished stainless steel dual tips for each side. This would give me my quad look back. Luck would have it, the shop actually had the in one out two tips in stock. They were also a little bit bigger than the OEM quad tips. That's what I wanted.
Anyways, the muffler shop had to cut off the mufflers and weld them on straight. Then they had to tack the tips, measure, adjust and then once they looked straight and level they welded them on up.
Since the modifications I couldn't be happier. The car looks great with the quads back on, plus these are bigger and shinier. The car sounds great. I would say if you mated a Mustang and 370Z together, you would get the sound this exhaust makes.
If I were to do it over, I would go with the Stillen kit. http://www.stillen.com/product/exhaust/ ... 11951.html
I would still swap the tips out for the quad look either way.
Good luck with this exhaust kit guys!

Jim

Sounds ALOT different in person! It actually has sound. Car is dirty as hell cuz its not parked in the garage until I sell the Porshe and Integra. Installation was simple besides on the passenger side there was a bolt from a bushing hitting the pipe so I had to shave the bolt down. The tips and exhaust lined up perfect. I am not a fan of the single exhaust outlets so I bought some dual tips made by Yonaka Motorsports and I will have intalled when I have the time to work on the exhaust again.

Tomorrow morning I will bring my phone closer to the tips of the car. At 50 seconds there is a clicking that I have never noticed. Any Ideas?

You'll be fine. This retains factory Y-pipe and replaces mid and muffler. The system should come with gaskets and bolts.
