Gona order one right now :) worst thing happens, ill sell it on CL. The sound probably wont be as good as M45 but if it's better than stock and has few extra HP why not. Besides 399$ for catback is too good to pass. Thanks for sharing info guys!

The quality of the materials are great. The fit, is subpar. You really have to fight to get the mufflers adjusted to get the tips level. Unfortunately, I could never get the tips level. The driver side one was really bad. The gap from the top of the oval tip to the cutout in the rear bumber was rediculous. About 2" or more.
Plus, the oval tips did not look better than the OEM quad exhaust.
My fix, I took the car to a muffler shop. They tried to straighten the mufflers on their lift with no luck. So I told them I was going to order a set of polished stainless steel dual tips for each side. This would give me my quad look back. Luck would have it, the shop actually had the in one out two tips in stock. They were also a little bit bigger than the OEM quad tips. That's what I wanted.
Anyways, the muffler shop had to cut off the mufflers and weld them on straight. Then they had to tack the tips, measure, adjust and then once they looked straight and level they welded them on up.
Since the modifications I couldn't be happier. The car looks great with the quads back on, plus these are bigger and shinier. The car sounds great. I would say if you mated a Mustang and 370Z together, you would get the sound this exhaust makes.
If I were to do it over, I would go with the Stillen kit. http://www.stillen.com/product/exhaust/ ... 11951.html
I would still swap the tips out for the quad look either way.
Good luck with this exhaust kit guys!

Sorry you had a bad experience, but that was 4 years ago and the Element 114 has gone through major changes since then. Fitment and quality control is much better now since the first revisions as well as upgraded materials.

I wish there was a better clip on the sound. As like most (I'm sure), I am very tempted to jump in on these also. Any more input on the sound cruising in town (35-40mph) and highways (70-80mph)? More info on the tips. They look very nice!

the tips I went to Amazon and Ebay and searched Dual Exhaust Tips. It does sounds cleaner and better in person. I haven't really been driving my car since my chick is using it for work and Im stuck with hers. She said you can hear the exhaust but its not a drowning annoying sound. I have noticed on my first drive with them in town that it was barely noticeable. It was well worth the 400

I know I'm prob asking for the flame throwers to be a plenty by asking this, however will an exhaust system off on 03-06 G coupe fit my RWD m35?
Thanks.

I own an 03 G coupe and selling M35/M45 exhausts, I can tell you it won't fit, it might with some cutting and welding but no where close to bolt-on.

So i think this exhaust is well worth $399 and like trayday mentioned it sounds MUCH better in person!
I feel like the car is quicker to accelerate and im finnally getting what i wanted out this car after adding 5/16 plenum spacer and catback.
I was worried about this before ordering but i cant be more happy after installation.
Thanks for your help guys!

Sounds sexy! Not too aggressive but sort of classy exhaust tone. I didn't hear a single bit of rasp or anything else. I love it!

Yeah the sound is waaay nice, the low growl that says this is high quality stuff. :) My gf, who is against ANY modifications on the car, had a biggest smile when she heard this and she confirmed that the car is running smoother and quicker to accelerate.
Inside you can hear it a little bit, but its not loud at all.
It fits AWD, very easy installation.

That's normal. It's a system check of components. If you stop (without shutting engine off) and place back into park and try to duplicate it will not do it.
If you shut the car off and wait for about 30 minutes (It takes a while for all the system components to completely go back to sleep) you can duplicate those clicking noises of the ABS and drivetrain system electrical components.
If it does this consistently everytime you back up, without a vehicle shut down of components, then you have a problem. I don't think this is the case.

Like i have already stated, I would not do this exhaust again if given the chance to start over. Quality control issue and absolutely no more support from the manufacturer.
I even had an Element 114 CAI kit. Go figure it did not fit. I sold it a few years back to someone with knowledge of the fitment issue. The person purchased it anyways.
Element 114 tried, but did not succeed in making a overall good exhaust kit.

You wont regret it :dblthumb: after a week it got a bit louder but still just loud enough so you can hear both engine and exhaust. Its louder when you step on it and it turns heads everytime i do :chuckle:
I didn't have any problems fitting it in, just plug and play, whole thing took one hour, that's it.

I know I'm new on here but why do you keep trying to bash this exhaust?? It's evident it didn't work out for you, for whatever reason, quality control, product quality itself or just subpar all around. If you can find a $400 exhaust that looks similar to this then please point it out. Otherwise you are thread crapping on a product that seems to have more then a handful of people pretty happy right now. I did not read one comment in this entire thread besides yours that had someone disappointed in there purchase.....Just my 2 cents Bro.

Just got mine installed in my m45s and I love it, the product is VERY high quality, down to the hardware, ground wire bolt etc. The shipment was also in a huge very well packed box. You cannot beat this for $399 shipped. In fact even for $600-700 I think it would still be worth it. The sound is great, and there is no doubt the car is quicker (the factory exhaust is VERY restrictive) anyways here is some cell pictures.

Thanks for the positive review, I knew that once folks saw the quality and sound they would be very happy with them.

My dilemma is that the shipping costs are killing me so starting March 1 the price will increase to $449 so if you want one buy it now. eBay fees are $30 so you can also save that amount by buying direct.
