Hey all, just wanted to inform you about your shocks on your 2008 AC.

I purchased my car brand new, drove for maybe 10k (I'm speaking in kilometers here) then installed Eibachs and have driven 45K on them, total = 55k. My shocks have been leaking (Front and rear) for about 5K now, I've been ignoring the problem because I thought I could cheap out/ I don't have the disposable income atm. Now, however, my tires are going bald and I need to replace them. So, I don't want to blame the Eibachs for this problem but shocks that blow after 55k are pretty cheap, albeit I did go to the track with them once, and I do drift around in the winter. Again, I just wanted any newcomer whos thinking of Eibachs to consider a different perspective.

Now that I need new shocks, I'm thinking coil overs as they would be cheaper than OEM +lowering. Which companies make coil overs for our vehicles? And how long do you guys think they will last (approximate with DECENT/BAD road conditions)?

Bah.. I hate shipping to Canada :(

thanks for the detailed info on your situation as i've come from driving a fun sports sedan and been torn between doing eibach's or coilovers myself.
here's a couple threads regarding the BC & Tein coilovers which are pretty popular:

if you replace the shocks expect them to blow within the same amount of mileage. just get the bc coils its so much better.

Here's what led me to BC's:

How much is the eibach kit? $200? Okay, so in however many thousand miles, you're going to have to buy another set of OEM shocks... prolly about $800 from the dealer. That's $1000. That's the same price as coilovers.

Now, you take into consideration time & labor (if you're having them installed professionally), as well as the added features of the coilovers, and it doesn't make much sense to buy eibachs. Save up for coils.
