Also, what the hell is this thing? The little thing with the vacuum lines sticking out of it? One of the nipples is broken and I need a new one!
Image

Things on their Way:
OEM Timing equipment
Head gasket
Top and bottom end gasket kit

So, Things I need to get still:

Clutch
Alternator
Oil Pump
Spark Plugs
Oil
Oil filter
Anti-Freeze

Coilovers
Tension Rods

Tube that is broken (goes from under the thermostat to the intake manifold, anyone know what it is?)
That thing with the vacuum lines.

Phew.

Also, the lack of responses on this site is making me consider not even posting my build thread here anymore.. Regardless of how boring it may be...

A lot of those vacuum things you really don't need and can delete quite easily. Search for the emissions removal diy; that is, if you want to.

Thank you! I was looking for something like this earlier. Why does the emissions stuff have to be such a mess? I wish I could just remove it all lol.

One thing you don't need is the coolant lines going to the intake manifold. They do nothing for emissions, they just heat soak the motor and hurt power when the motor is hot.

And when you go to put the intake manifold back on, put the upper on the head first, then the lower on the upper. Makes putting those bolts on MUCH easier. The upper is the one that bolts to the head, and the lower has the throttle body attached to it.

Looks like your off to a good start though!

as immature as you want to make it, we tried to get that b**** in for a good 2 1/2 hours and there was more cursing and swearing then I have ever heard in my life.

got my waiver and its good till march, was free :)

cut the mid-muffler out and welded on a peice of pipe, still has an exhaust leak from one of my welds and I got fed up trying to fix it, will attend to it later.

car runs and drives now, not too hot under 1300 RPM but once you hit like 2k she runs like a champ.

now I must clean the garage before my dad gets home.

also, last night I took ouyt the rear interior, the rear seats and belts are staying out but the rest of the panels are going back in.

anti-rust painted the rear floor and the trunk

welded in a support bar on the rear strut towers, also will help keep anything that is in the trunk from sliding into the car, and visa-versa

Well they are a local shop's brand, and so far they are awesome, never heard anything bad about them.

With 15x8's this thing will be awesome.

I recommend ZP's to anyone, they fit perfectly and only took me about 45 mins to do all 4 solo, note this is the first set of coilovers I've installed, and the first 240 I've owned.

Just curious, how much did you pay for the coilovers?

Well, these coilovers are set to go on market at $1,400 and I got them for a little more then half that. You see, they are a local company's brand and the owner is having them made is sets and the price gets progressively more until they are fully released.

in case your curious it has a 12-way damper and front and rear pillowball mounts, they can also go a LOT lower (my chassis was sitting on the tires, I mean literally the coilovers arent restrictive AT ALL)

so far, the ride as been superior (only like 200 miles so far) the dampening makes a giant difference (like fully hard it is like riding on rigid suspension, and fully soft it is like freakin pillows)

:bowrofl:

HKS I got from george a few days ago, ready to go on. but I need to get one of the studs from the exhaust flange out (on the cat) because the threads were all screwed up and I couldnt get the nut off (ended up cutting the stud to get the flange apart)
