Drove My Car For The First Time Ever! Issues Arise

WELL I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF AND I'M STILL HAVING COOLING ISSUES.THE GAUGE STILL READS 4 BARS BUT A HEAT GUN SAYS 218+ DEGREES AT THE WATER OUTLET.

I'M GOING TO BUY A MOUNT KIT AND FRONT FACING PLENUM SO THAT I CAN RUN SHORTER INTAKE PIPING AND PUT A FAN ON THE ENGINE SIDE OF THE RADIATOR AS A PULLER. I'LL PROBABLY ALSO PUT A AC FAN ON THE BUMPER SIDE AS A LITTLE EXTRA AIR.

OHH AND WE HAVE NO BRAKES NOW, CRACKED A ROTOR AND BROKE IT..... SO THATS ANOTHER UPGRADE I HAVE TO DO NOW.

How the hell do you crack a rotor?

Run it hard then throw a bucket of cold water on it? It's not so hard to warp a rotor, but crack it? What happened?

IT WAS AN OLDER STOCK ROTOR..... AND I THINK WITH ALL THE HEAT STRESS IT CRACKED INTERNALLY AND THEN WE KEPT STOPPING (NOT REALIZING IT WAS CRACKED) ON IT AND IT FINALLY BROKE. BUT NOW IT DOESN'T STOP ON THAT SIDE AND ALL YOU HEAR IS CLANKING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BECAUSE THE ROTOR IS ALL MESSED UP.

SHOULD I TRY ADDING OCTANE BOOSTER?

I'M GOING TO SEAFOAM THE WHOLE ENGINE ALSO TO CLEAN OUT ANY BUILD UP.

I SHOULD ADD IT TO A NEW TANK OF GAS, THE OIL, AND THE BRAKE BOOSTER ENG VAC LINE RIGHT?

antifreeze is gay.run a 25% antifreeze to 75% water ratio.then run water wetter.my rb doesnt over heat at all, even when we had some nice 65 degree days it stayed right in the middle and the radiator would barely get warm, with no fans.i rigged the stock dohc cooling fan for the condenser to push air through the rad, it works quite well.its set up so that it is turned on by the relay in the fusebox when the car is on and off when the car is off.

MINE IS SET UP THE SAME WAY WITH FAN ALWAYS ON. MY PROBLEM IS THE WATER IS HEATING REALLY QUICKLY BECAUSE OF MY FRONT MOUNT SETUP.

I'LL TRY DRAINING THE SYSTEM AND RUNNING MORE WATER THAN COOLANT..... I DUNNO I'M GOING TO TRY EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. BECAUSE I WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR!

If the fans are on during highway driving, chances are it'll run hotter. That happened to me before because the incoming air is actually going to be restricted by the fans at a point.

NO, THIS OVER HEATS JUST DRIVING AROUND THE BLOCK.

I'M SWITCHING THE FAN TO PULLER AND GOING TO ADD A A/C PUSHER (WHICH I'LL HAVE ON A SWITCH SETUP). THE TOTAL SYSTEM SHOULD PUSH OVER 3300CFM WITH ALL THE FANS ON.

Sounds like the headgasket might be leaking and causing the heated, compressed air to be getting into the coolant.

I'M GOING TO ORDER A NEW GASKET/SEAL SET AND TRY THAT OUT ALSO.

IF IT DOESN'T WORK I'M GOING TO BUY A NEW ENGINE ANYWAY.
