They're just jealous, thats really all it boils down to F1. : ) My girlfriend is hotter than their blowup dolls, dogs, cats, goats, hands, etc. and they can't handle it. : ) And yes, my girlfriend is attractive, even I wonder what she's doing with me most of the time. : )

NIN(especially pretty hate machine), System, Deadsy(check em out, makes me think of the 80s), Paul Van Dyk, Alice, Filter, Type O Negative, Depeche Mode :). Almost any rock/techno hybrid. I must say I enjoyed the time that I showed up at a car show blaring Collective Soul out my windows.:thumbup

yeah... rap/hip-hop is what i mostly listen too... but i'd have to agree with what was said in earlier posts that lately pretty much garbage gets put out... all rappers have gone pop.. its not far till ja rule does a song with britney spears or something... its pretty much out of hand... but its hard to accept new stuff when you compare it to biggie, 2pac and such...

lately i've been getting into some underground hip-hop... cannibal ox mostly... its a change of pace from the mainstream i guess...

Just to add some more fluff:

Jane's Addiction, Faith No More, Type O'Neg, Pink Floyd, Rage, Grateful Dead, PRIMUS!, The Police, .... ahhhh the list totally goes on much farther, but why waste more thread space!

I'm more into a fast paced beat, like techno or j-pop or what not for driving, it puts you more in the mood. That, or some real hard rock. I don't see how talking about bishez, blunts, and fourties gets you in the mood to drive fast. : )

hehe, most do, except dmx

Originally quoted by DMX:we already know how much your watch is worthtalk about, helpin the hurt, savin the churchwon't you brag about helpin out where you come fromand give brothers a job that really want one::::

If I'm crusing I normally just pop in widespread panic, tool, or Mad Season, if I'm in an aggressive driving mood it's always slipknot or dmx and sometimes Rammstein, cause it's always nice to have people look over at you and think wtf language is that...devil music?!?!? :yesnod

btw crystyle or whatever is some expensive a** champagne that they like to brag about drinking. Wow they can drink champagne ooOooOOoOOo

this coming from someone who likes rap :)

you can't say 'techno' and be describing all electronic music.

the super repeditive stuff i really dislike.but dance stuff with good vocals, trance stuff, and some others ..I can't list off a bajillion names because honestly I don't know a lot of bands :)

I just know that there are a lot of 'techno' artists who do have skillz, and do make good music.

rap on the other hand (this recent crap that is coming out)..wow... have someone make a beat...and just talk about how much bling they think they have, and the girls that they can only have because they think they have money that they don't ;), and just scream a few random "UHHHHS"BAM... you're now a rap 'musician'!

I will admit... 2pac was good, he had something to say, and he did it well, he in my opinion had talent. and I respected him.but so many of these wannabe 'thugs' that are coming out just piss me off.driving uber cars that they can only afford because they are renting them for the music video.. blah...whatever :D

anyway...mm... ya

If you say so. I prefer trance, but I've heard some good techno too. Mmm, Goa...that's the stuff.

BTW Atom12, I just said Oakenfold before because I figured more people would recognize him. Also like Van Dyke, Chicane, Robert Miles, BT, Tiesto, Talvin Singh, *list goes on*

/me goes looking for Nick Warren, and John Digweed tunes.

I'm not going to try and defend rap hardcore, because most of it is crap, but there is ALOT of good stuff out there, especially real hip hop like: J5, Tha Liks, Dilated Peoples, The Roots...however I like the rap stuff for the fact that a lot of rap is funny, and they find the most inovative ways to say things, even if it is the same thing over and over.

But as for driving, its all about the hardcore/metal: Shai Hulud, Stretch Arm Strong, Poison the Well, Throwdown, Cave In...

But I live 15 mins from NYC, which I consider to be the epicenter of rap right now, so I like it alot.

I saw Tirple X with my girl tonight.....ummm I didnt really like it, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be, very hard to make action movies that don't stink, not that his movie was bad but just didn't keep me interested...the songs on there were by rammstein and that who was playing in the club...I simply love them Im not sure what the other songs were they were familiar though but I was trying not to fall asleep so I didn't pay too much attention to the music.

Xeromist, yeah everyone knows Oakenfold. These guys think that "techno" (blanket term) lacks real music. They're crazy. Brian Transeau is classically trained in music. How many rappers can say that? Not to dis' I like rap. Gang starr is really good. For my money Trance is the best driving music, I know you agree. My brother fools a round on the decks, and he's got some interesting new sounding stuff. The guy's name I guess is KAI TRANCID? It's a 4 vinyl set. It's like a hybrid of trance and acid. It's kinda like progressive house beat-wise, but more metallic and trippy. Plus it still has the build up and apex that is trademark trance. Good luck with the track search, Warren and Digweed will not dissapoint.

Trance is good, but gets boring fast.

Hence my suggestion to check out some experimental/IDM choons.

I'd say more rappers have musical backgrounds than techno artists...Did you know that RZA from Wu-Tang can play piano, among other instruments, in fact a number of the members of Wu-Tang have bachelors, and masters degrees. Plus there are people like Wyclef and Lauren Hill that play multiple instruments. But you're still right, not many rappers can play instruments.

If you want good rape that has some sort of message or is just good fire up kazaa and download : Public enemy, Black Star (mos def, talib kwali), Jurrasic 5, public enemy, 2pac, biggie, outkast(not the new stuff, scoobie do wtf???) and my personal favorite the pharcyde :rockon

Warning only download this if youve had all the bling bling you can stand, even though manny fresh is still the funniest man on earth no matter how much his music sucks.
