So no pics because my cord is in my car lol but I worked from 10-5 today so I consider it a productive day:-Door handles painted-Oil changed-Spark plugs cleaned-Bumper installed-Dash put together-Stereo installed [YES!!!] but now when I have the key in the ignition the left half of my gauge cluster lights up but not the other side lol-Smoked corner lights-Replaced headlights and they are BRIGHT!

Now the negative...-Gas tank strap still a no go, Im having that installed pro when I get to cali-I was completely unable to score a driveshaft support so it sttill clicks but I am going to get one asap in LA.

Ill try to upload some pics tomorrow, its weird seein the whole body together lol I am hanging with my fam tomorrow and leaving at midnightt woooo!!! lol If your in Denver and wanna meet for a bit then let me know--Ill be there monday afternoon-night!

So I made it here in one peice...for the most part, my starter is bad...again so I'm picking up a new one from phase 2 today. I left the charger for my laptop at home so no updates for a but but I have an issue:

my idle is gay, picks up and drops between 900-1100 and I'm still richer than Donald trump, I think it's my MAF not reading properly-if anyone has one in the LA area please let me know asap

No, its registered in Illinois.

Photobucket is being gay and attempting to apply for a job that takes a f***ing hour to complete then freezes...so I only have a few pics.

Worlds largest truck stopgas stopMcDonalds in Iowa..with amish! I thought of you lancaster guys hahaStereo ghetto installedLITERALLY packed my car tto the brimWent kinda fast lolI got here and replaced my driveshaft support, real ghetto style

I am starting to think my wiring is jacked somewhere and its not my starter because she starts mostt of the time, I have an SR MAF on the way as well.

I also went to a meet last night in Rosemead and there were a bunch of chill guys out there, Ive never seen that many 240s in one place lol and they said it was a slow night...gotta love the LA scene

I attempted to do some wiring myself and I hooked up the stereo to the mess of wires I had in the dash because there were no plugs, after thatt my gauge lights dont work except my clock light, my tail lights wont light up either when my headlights are on

I removed the stereo and cut the wires thinking it may help, when I connect a blue wire and another wire my taillights work but my clock wont light up

In attempt to fix the gauges lights I cut the power wire going to one of the plugs on the cluster and ended up reconnecting it but now my speedo/tach/fuel gauges dont work.

I am at a complete loss and dont know where to go from here, I would appreciate any help yall got for me.

I think blue is the 12V switched, but its for the stereo so why would it take out the clock and run the tails?

This hack job is pissing me off, I think its what jacked up my starter too-maybe a new ignition relay?

Its not my engine harness, thats what I would have sent you and wouldnt have changed anything but thanks for making me feel worse

I looked at the back of my cluster and it seems part of it is fried so this is obviously the source of some of my problems, Ive also heard something of the white box under the kick panel on the drivers side-should I replace that or do sometthing to it?

So um sorry for the quite possibly dumb and redundant question, but you drove from IL to CA in that? ;o

lol at your reply to mge. im betting the cluster fried due to the recent wiring attempts, not the other way around. is the box you're referring to the super multi junction? if so theres nothing to really do to it

Yes I made it over 2000miles in THAT car without any more problems than my starter.

I was testing the power to my gauges and and the wire with the power slipped and fried the back of my mother board, I went tto the junkyard today and pulled a cluster & swapped it all over as well as pulled partt of the harness.

Results tonight

Ohhhh nice. So no overheating problems at all? And thank the lord you got S14 seats. Had you had s13 seats and drove 2k miles here, your butt and back would be a goner.

And welcome to LA ;] you must not be used to the weather here. it's been hitting the triple digits lately.

Then again.. I think you'll be more concerned with the traffic here, especially during rush hour. Virtually every freeway/highway around here has traffic, and it's irritating.

Anywho keep us updated on your build

Only one way to learn right? I jacked it up and I'm gonna fix it lol but when I get my coupe you will be getting an email about your harness service...don't forget about me lol

My friends sister has been driving us alot since we go most places together and I have no backseat...or a/c

Clearly my old MAF was not an SR one because the plug is totally different from the one I originally had as well as the new one AND the top is totally different...still rich though so it looks like it's a tune before a new coupe

So I have figured out what I need and how much it will cost to finish this car the right way and its gonna cost me a pretty penny and there are several stages but I am doing it the RIGHT WAY...no more cheaping out or going ghetto.

1st step-fix my gauge cluster & AFR gauge:

I looked under my car where the wideband goes into the downpipe and the O2 sensor outside of the DP is bent which is why it reads 14.8 constantly [obviously broken]. My question is there, can I simply buy another sensor and wire it in where the old one was? OR do I have to buy a whole new one? Because that would suck hard...

Pending some help on the gauge cluster I may be able to figure that out soon on my own but Im open to ideas

I ordered a couple parts I need, but only because I had a credit with Enjuku. I am really broke right now, so broke Im not gonna be driving unless its to a job interview because I dont have enough money for gas, and yes it is that tough. I was able to get a job working in retail clothing so that should help but money is extremely tight so the updates may come much slower for now.

I hooked up my new SR MAF, I read that when I unplug it my car should die-right? Well mine doesnt, it doesnt do diddley squat-no change in idle or anything...what does this mean?! My wiring is fine I checked that already but why wouldnt it die? I would REALLY appreciate some help here guys...Im getting 10mpg and need to change that desperately.

I just unplugged the MAF and start her, and revved it to 3k...and it hesitated but with a little extra push she goes right past-WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!
