OK guys and gals, here's the FINAL pricelist and information regarding the illuminated kickplates along with a few disclaimers (so that we are all on the same page). Now that all of the R&D is done, I have a better idea of how much this will cost, I wish I could offer this for less, but quality work costs money!

Kit includes:

One set (driver's and passenger's side) of Illuminated kickplatesTwo (2) x 12 volt power inverters 10 ft of 18 gauge power and ground wireZip ties Installation instructions with pictures

Light options:RED, WHITE, INDIGO (blue)

Pictured below: Brushed Aluminum, NISSAN, WHITE light (the white is a hyper white light with whitish-bluish color, looks like ~ 6000K HID light

**note**The illuminated kickplates consist of a strip of very strong 1/8" plexiglass, with a layer of black vinyl underneath and a layer of exterior quality vinyl on top. . The luminesctent tape is underneath the plexiglass and is protected from the elements. The vinyl will withstand light scratches, but WILL NOT withstand heavy scratches, scrapes, etc.

by custom, I mean the letters... so if you want yours tp say ""Mr. Coupe", it'll be $50.00 extra!

I initially paid to have the machine at the print shop laser cut templates for Nissan and Altima. anything other than that requires more labor on their part , thus its considered custom. I would consider offering this for less if more people bought them. But right now, there's a lot of folks that have SAID they would buy kickplates, but only three people have actually placed orders.

Of all the folks that actually said they would get the nismo, NO ONE has actually placed an order. I can't afford to spend extra money on setups if guys don't follow through and actually purchase them. I think you guys are underestimating how expensive these things really are, the initial process of getting things going was VERY expensive. Every new "custom" order will also be expensive.

I have no problem giving folks what they want, if they will actually buy them... I can lower the amount for the nismo ones by a little bit, but it will not be the same price as the regular nissan. white letters with a red o" requires extra materials and that has to be accounted for.

Honestly, I'm thinking about only offering 4 types, and that's it. If folks don't want to pay for custom orders, then I won't offer them.

nismo will be offered ONLY in that exact way! white lettering with a red "o"... folks are already complaining about the price of custom orders, but SOMEONE has to pay for the extra work and I'm not eating the cost!

So this what I'll do, I'll include nismo, but it WILL be a bit more expensive. Also, carbon fiber has to be more expensive because the material costs more.

I'm not quite sure how that would look like and I'm definitely interested if they look as good as they sound. What would you price the nismo ones at (they seem to have the bulk of the interest maybe after nissan). Also, do you have any of the nismo ones made yet. I would like to see what I'm buying first! regarding carbon fiber, I will be finishing up a carbon fiber set with RED lettering for spockrock on TUesday or Wednesday. I'll post pics then..

But seriously, all these people who come on here complaining about the price of every member-created special offering need to get smacked. IF you want the damn thing, buy it. If not, then STFU!!!

It is awesome that people like Rob take the time to do something special for everyone here - that is plainly a gift to our community. But these haggler types who want to come on here and try and talk down the price of stuff by $10 or $20 can only achieve one thing - to leave a bad taste in the mouth of everyone who thought they might be do something nice for the community like this. The last thing we need to do is discourage people from offering us kick-*** mods because the community is a bunch of stingy and ungrateful brats.

These kickplates are dirt-cheap in the scheme of things - I'd like to see any of us try and make such a clean and killer product in their spare time. I dunno, I'm mostly a lurker here - nobody special at all. But when I see Rob struggling to explain himself to a bunch of whiny whelps, it really bothers me when this guy has done so much for this forum and our cars. Yes, the nismo is gonna cost more, it has two different colors. And like the Doc said, he already made the templates up for "NISSAN" and "ALTIMA." So go on and question his judgment for that and lecture him on how he ought to have made a template for "NISMO" too so he could offer it same price.... Jeez.

From now on, can we just make a rule, no bitching or questioning the price of member-created mods. If you don't want it, then don't get it. Period. I know I may have been spazzing a little in this post, but it's also built up a little from reading that thread about the $8 stickers and all the whining.

/end rant and sorry if I stepped on toes. Just want to make sure Rob knows that the silent majority think he's a cool cat and we are thankful for his input and expertise and respect his judgment on what price his damn kickplates ought to be.

If you get the plates its $250 shipped.

I may just say screw it and pay the $250 and keep the aluminum ones incase I mess up the other ones.

Either way it is a great deal and I cant wait to get them.
