Could stretch the hell out of the tire, have a hella roll and rock some mad camber....but this is my DD. just ordered some 9s for the front anyways so its all good. and yeah thats as low as she can go in the front. thats really low as hell the frame is damn near on the ground as it is. the reason why it dosnt look to low is probably because most people rock the body kits that really bring the front bumper down a few inchs more so it looks a lot lower when its not. front lip is the next thing to go on and then it will look just as low as any other 240 out there. as for the rear, i might drop it a little more, as i said it is my DD and the roads around here are already crap... we shell see wheels are first right now as i have already started on them.

ninja edit! - the first pic is lowerd the 2nd and 3rd are on the jack.

side pics will be up when i get all 4 tires on and everything looking right, just a teaser for now.

specks are
rear: 17x10 + around 5-10 depending on spacer i run
front: 17x9 + 15.

they really are not anything expensive i have about as much in tires as i do in the rims. but should look good and work for now.

fronts should be here Friday so ill have them on the tire and on the car Saturday, after there shell be pics. might try to lower the rear a bit and get my new exhaust on. all depends on time.

thanks man, yeah i know all about "problems" just kind of waiting for the motor in there to blow so i can put the built on in and start buying all the turbo parts. really have no motivation to do anything to the motor till it goes bomb! to be honest its really not all that easy to blow up these KA's. even after hours and hours of hard driving, late oil changes, crap valve guide seals and piston rings...its still pulling strong with 220k on her. already have the other motor ready to go in minus the turbo set up ( built bottom end, and head.) so we will see.

I <3 my KA

will do man, boosting a KA really isn't all that much work, nor is it really hard. It can just get expensive...thats the main reason people turn away from trying to boost the KA under high HP, as long as you know what you are doing it isn't to hard ( building a motor) the hardest part for me has been picking the setup i want, i went from wanting 250-300hp on a t25 then said hell i have a fully built motor, ill go for 450 on an HX35, to the point now where i am looking for anywhere from 400-550hp. its all about picking the right setup and parts.

thats the way i see it as of right now. people want fast cars and high HP, but dont want to pay for it and in the end blow there motor up because they buy cheap parts and half a$$ stuff. thats why its taking so long to get the motor in the car. i would rather have a stock KA that runs tell i pull it then rushing things and having a built motor that blows up in 2 weeks because i half assed my way through it.

photobucket really doesn't help the pics look any better... i am pretty sure they make the quality worse, because the pics are much clearer and cleaner on my computer.

Yup right now, they are good coilovers. I really don't have anything bad to say about them. As for the car, well...its definitely come along way. still a long way from where it needs to be but its coming along. looking at paint right now, thinking maybe a nice black cherry or gunmetal gray, or maybe play around with the idea of silver moss. But realistically before i start all that i need to get to work on the massive amount of body work. when that gets done motor will come out, paint will go on all over, and the new motor will go.

Do you think the spring rates are good enough for a DD or are they too harsh? Sorry to thread jack, The pictures look great

Honestly they are a bit harsh, But i didn't buy coilovers for the super smooth ride. Everyone that rides in my car ( that doesn't know cars) have said that my car is stupidly rough and i have lost a gf or 2 over the car, But it definitely isn't that bad. nice and stiff, but not to stiff. You can definitely feel every bump in the road, but for me that's what i like. for $1200 there are better DD coilovers out there. i know JIC's are great coilovers and would love to get another set but that might be a bit out of your price range ( plus i don't think they make them anymore? ), D2's are pretty good DD coils. although don't ride anything like the stances.in the end i am happy with them. like i said nice and stiff but not to the point where im riding around bouncing everywhere.

Did a little painting and body work today, Just need to wet-sand and then she will be ready to go to the booth for primer and paint. Thinking R32 gray? maybe a nice black?

Got most of the interior black now, Waiting for the new carpet and seats to come in but other then that just cleaning and painting trim and what not.

Before (gay silver)

After

Need to get new covers for the speakers... other then that the doors are done.

Not to sure what i plan on doing yet, I am thinking gut/ remove all sound deadening and get a 4-6 point bolt in cage ( might paint it Takata green to go with the harness's) as for the front, Plan to keep it as clean and "simple" as possible, Other then the seats, steering wheel and harnesses everything will remain in the front IE: Carpet, Dash, All the plasticks.

Yes, No, Maybe?

Also thinking of painting the bay Takata green or black??
