anyone thinking of coming to durham with a lowered car...Don't! the roads around here are crap. i have been through 3 exhaust in the past 3 months all because the city feels like its easier to put metal plates over holes then to fix them (when i say mettle plates i mean speed bumps made of mettle that aren't in the least beet shaped. so u go from smooth ride to 3inc off the road mettle plate.

not to big of an update, i have been sick with the flu the past few days so just knocked up in bed ordering parts.

on the way:

-8k HID kit
- new rotors, pads, calipers.
- megan front and rear sway bars.
- ARP head studs
- Supertech valve springs
- ARP main studs
- new lugs

pretty sure that's everything on its way right now, the head should be put together when that all comes in. then i just need a few small things to get the motor ready to drop in. ( still making my mind up on the turbo) that's where i need a little help. i have been looking at the hx35, sc61, or the gt30r. really looking for 350-400whp for the time but want something that i can grow on when the time comes.

other then that, just looking around for a new exhaust. running through a few options right now, APEXI WS cat back, HKS high-power, or just a 3" blaster, not to sure yet.

Get HKS hi-power. I'm running one one my 240sx. Its quite at idle and sounds deep on throttle but they hang looooowww. Just cut and weld the hanger short so they go close to body. I got the 120mm tip with 3.3" piping. I cant wait to here it with my turbo setup

got another motor last night. so now i have 3 lol, one in the car, 1 being built, and this one. dont really know why i got it but hell its never a bad thing to have backups right?

from what the guy said the valves are over-sized and that's really the only thing done to the motor. that looks about right, missing a few small things but like i said its a back up to a backup so im not to worried about it.

Image

Also got my HID's in so now i can see at night. still waiting on a few things to come in befor i do everything. it so much easer to do it all at one time then do it as it comes in. maybe thats just me but thats how i like to do it.

well guys, looks like i will be picking up a new 97 se shell next week. pretty much all the interior and suspension will be going into the new shell. that means i will have a bare 95 s14 shell. if anyone needs just the shell ( at this point i dont know how much will be with it, and if it will come with the title. because i will be putting the dash into the new car) i would be more then happy to help someone out. i will know more of what will come with this shell after i get the new one but this would be a start to a nice track car.

shell didn't work out, needed a lot! more work then i had thought. on the bright side should be getting the body work done and paint in the next few weeks. so im happy about that.

small update and let me just say if you have a lowered s14 ( not sure about the s13s) this is a big big thing that in my eyes most be done. i have seen s14s not even as low as mine that destroy this under fender harness. while im not very slamed i was still starting to eat it up. and for real guys. i got up this morning to smoke a cig and have been putting this off for a while, Finlay started doing it and between smoke breaks and beer breaks i had it done in 25-30 mins. its way to easy and simple to just not do it and risk destroying it.

before. had maybe half an inc if not a lil less of space.

Image

now.

the back needs to be pulled up a bit more but it clears fine for now.

on to something else that has been bugging the hell out of me. my transmission is making a funny clicking sound. not all the time but dose it on and off. doesn't seem to affect how it drives just loud as all hell and annoying as s***. and i know nothing about trannys so any help would be nice.

I'm doing the same thing on mine. But the bolts at the bottom seem to be weird size. What size ratchet did you use to take off the bolts near the door?

well while everyone was at the lake having a blast for the first day we got over 70" i was working on the car....All new rotors, calipers and pads on all 4 sides. really wasn't to hard, also but my new rucas on and played with my coilovers a bit. got her a little lower now ;)

all in all was a good day didn't run into any big problems and lets be honest that init self is a hell of a great day after working on a 240

most of the day the car looked like this, just on different sides :p

if anyone needs any tips or tricks on doing this let me know, i think i got it down to where i could do it in my sleep.

well got the car as low as i can go on the coils i have now ( the front at least) so it looks like its time to upgrade to a better coil that i can slam a little more or......just be happy with not dragging frame everywhere. well option 2 will have to do as i dont have money for coils right now and every dime i get is going into wheels, as i cracked one and bent the hell out of another one. should have a little money coming in from the things im a selling ( check my adds out if u need 20mm spacers or lowering springs) both might be gone asap though.

just doing small stupid stuff till i can get the money for wheels and what not, so i really dont have an update. but that's whats going on...

oh xxr 527s?????
or
rota p45rs????

yes both are cheap knock offs but you know what i dont really have 1500+ for a set of jdm tyte!! rims..nor would i put rims that cost more then the car itself on there only to get f'd up on the s*** roads around here.

New wheels on the way!! really don't have $ for new rubber right now tho...so i might just have to try and put these 215s on a 9.5 wheel... we will see how that works out

I have come to the conclusion that 10s are to much for the front...just order a set of 9s for the front and i guess ill just have 2 extra 10s just in case for the rear...cant really complain to much, it was worth a shot.
