You will deff. need a bigger budget then 3 grand. Just a decent turbo set up will run a lil less then that. Are you going to be doing any of the work your self of paying sum1 to do it?

I doubt you'll see that much. To get anywhere near that, you'd need to run a pretty high compression ratio. That + turbo = no good.

As I answered in your other thread, basically asking the same question......

I know you're new to the forum and all. But, I do believe you may have read something along the lines of needing to search before you post stuff like this. The search function is your best friend.

275 hp is impossible on pump gas, without a turbo.

Its impossible, completely unfeasible.

Not with the KA24DE , no way.

With full header back exhaust, High comp pistons, an ECU tune or stand alone fuel management...High duration cams, head porting and polishing, CAI etc

Youd be doing GREAT just to make 200 wheel. N/A builds are not easy ....or cheap .......

Just go Forced Induction, save you alot of headache.

Definately will cost much much more than $3000 to get even 190 rwhp. So far we are looking for the first person to hit 200 rwhp, and can actually prove it with the KA24DE.

If you open your eyes and look down a couple of threads, you will see "Who has got the most powerful NA KA" thread. That is 8 pages long and contains tons and tons of technical discussion. Start there dreamer.

oooh! i hope you didnt go out and buy the car thinking youd get to 275 rwhp on the ka-de without boost. that would suck.

Yeah, that is a really good goal to aim for turbocharged. Decent power, but nothing crazy.

You can try a setup like this...

Just go to Autozone and ask for Jato. Accept no substitutes! :D

Well on the OP's budget it is.

The race s14 that has been floating around the net had 285 i wanna say and that was a race built motor. Sorry kid unless you have unliminted cash flow, alot of spray, or a turbo you are not even going to come close to your previously stated goals.

It's cheaper than you think. This is quoted from Mike who answered all of our questions with the GT3 parts list. He even has some parts for sale.

My 240SX GT3 racecar is sold and I have some spare KA 3 valve parts I'm looking to sell. If your interested, email me directly at [email protected] Nissan comp intake manifold ( ported for 44mm Mikuni's) $750 Dump that CRAP injection! 2 Mikuni 44mm stage 3 race prepped carbs $1,5004 Carillo rods (Brand NEW!) $6001 Rebello cam (used but good) $3001 set of Nissan comp valve springs (used but check good) $1001 Nissan comp head gasket $752 Nissan comp pan gaskets $50 for bothBuy the whole package for $3,000 !

With some 12 to 1 pistons and some flow work on your cylinder head and you WILL have a 200RWP KA !

BTW If you guys are going through the expense of having KA cranks custom made,.... Make sure you have the balancer bolt threads machined all the way to the first main journal. That's a mod we do for the 280hp race engines. If you don't, the cranks break off just behind the balancer. The extra long balancer bolt "holds" the crank snout to the rest of the crank and they don't break there any more. Remember,....We run these KA's at 7,500 rpm's all day long!

Thanks, Mike

It will be with a Nissan twin cam KA and TWM injection,Pink cylinder head,Rebello cams, carillo's,J&E's, ATI balancer, stock crank (drilled snout), MY hand made header and exhaust(4-2-1). Mike
BTW if you guy's think that you need alot of parts to build up the KA you are crazy. It's all in the method used to modify the crank shaft for higher RPM use.
