agreed, i dont think he could be lower then 173, or higher then 194. just a guess though, maybe if a safc or emange was installed and tuned.... ( that very well might be a good option to go with right now)

There isnt enough to get the boy over 160 (maybe 170 if engine is freakin PERFECT) to the rear wheels. The compression just isnt high enough to get the KA to perform with that low level of a N/A tune.Sorry.

Originally saw one on the SCC project 300zx. I doubt it will help horespower, but if the engine gets a bit smoother and I add some longevity, that's all that matters with that mod. http://www.fisherconcepts.net/

And 2BN_S13, no sorries about it. I had enough power to get me into trouble with the 210k mile engine as it was, I'm not worried about whether your predictions put me over 200 or under 150, I'm just too pumped about getting my car back to sit quietly anymore. The Protoge I'm driving just isn't all that fun.

harmonic damper...interesting. I always wondered about these things, though. Some people say you have to have them, others say they're a waste of money.

How much was it?

I'm actually waiting for them to finish their limited production run (they run 10 at a time due to low demand) to order. Price should be @$325-350. Yes-more expensive then UR pulley, but I like what I've read about the product.I won't be able to write up a review based solely on the damper's merits (too many mods at once- cheaper than one at a time though), but I will let people know what I think once its all done.

Ajax - I think you made a wise move with the Fisher unit. It is the best option available next to a new stock damper from Nissan. BTW, do you know if the production run is pre-sold?

I can ask my gay roommate if he wants to give you a cookie.

The damper run has not been pre-sold. I think there will still be 7 more after I buy mine.

7k rpm is what the JWT is set up for.Somewhere down the road I might get a S-AFC or something and do some more serious tuning. Right now, though, I think I'll be happy with just having my car back. JWT is tuning for my specific setup (compression et al), so it should be conservative enough to not worry about less than stellar fuel (though I'll be running premium anyway), and aggressive enough to kick some power out.

SAFC IS NOT serious tuning at all...

A standalone is serious tuning. You have to spend alot of money for serious tuning, at least 2K.
