Sonic Motor(forum vendor) is taking pre-order for these new XXR wheels.

zer...icing
No, I did not know that! Good looking out!

I figure, if you're already 5 lug and you want cheap wheels, they wouldn't be too bad.

Those 17x9 006's in 4 lug are looking kinda sexy to me. Kinda makes up for the Elites being dicontinued...

yeah the 006s are actually pretty good. I had them on my car....

When I crashed drifting at irwindale. The wheels took a lot of damaged, but still held up! I was surprised.

XXR are formula D legal. Now I know why lol

BTW, I had mb battles on my car. Since everyone has them now, its not special anymore haha

MB battles are soo much more expensive if you compare it to the price that sonicmotor is selling it for.

Im gonna get a set of the 522s for myself!

I must agree, but more options is always a good thing.

Battles are just knock-offs of CSTs.

battles are actually knock offs of Advan T7s.

The 17" wheels are like 4lbs heavier than the 18" T7s

But it is cheaper.

The new XXR wheels look sweet. If only they didnt piss off Greg at SEMA....

Battles don't give any four lug love either...

Certainly, that wasn't cool what they did to Greg at SEMA, but the world does still go on and ppl will still want cheap wheels.

Couldnt have said it better myself. Bought a used pair while i was looking for some better wheels. Hit the curb and BAM! Dent in the wheel. At that point the lip was LITTERALY peeling off

Never will i touch XXR/Sportmaxx again

BBS RK II Wheels. 245/35/18's. 65mph. 3 1/2ft. long 4x4 wooden block with vehicles in the lanes beside me and nowhere to go but over it. Barely dented the front wheel enough to unseat the bead. Rear wheel... no damage. Granted, it's not immobile like a curb but it was quite the hit.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for a PM on when they are scheduled to arrive, and I wont have them on the car for a few more weeks, but I'll be taking a ton of pics with them in and out of the box, possibly test fit on the car just to show the look off....I'm dying to get these wheels, even if they are a cheaper type rim, better then stock s14 rims.

Ya, that would be a determining factor. If I can ditch the 962s for something that weighs closer to 20 lbs, I would be down, plus could get some decent offsets, not 17x9 +35 and 17x7 +33 like my current set-up. Plus, I prefer gold.

Is it just me, or does the first picture of the gold 16x8 have fatter spokes then the next two?

Since I don't want the design of what is on my car to ever be confused with this... The ugliest 7-spoke wheel ever made, but apparently the most commonly purchased. Or Konig Tantrums, which is the main reason I wouldn't want to buy MB Battles.

I wanna get a set of the 522's they do come in 4-lug they don't come out til next month but I dunno what color, I want to get the gold but I dunno about gold wheels on a gold car, the other colors aren't my taste, seems like dark wheels make light colored cars look dirty.
