I'm just curious of the demographic of versa buyers. Wondering of this car is appealing to specific gender or age groups.

As for myself I am: 45, male, living in Vancouver area.

Geez.....now that I've typed that I realize what kind of post it's starting to sound like. Anyone wanna know what I' wearing?

I'm a 28 year old male. It's funny, I was telling my girlfriend how over at the FitFreaks forum everyone talks about aftermarket mods and the look of the car and those kinds of things, and here at the Versa forum people tend to talk about how comfortable the car is, how to drive more safely, etc. Makes me feel like maybe the Fit is for kids and the Versa is more for "adults", whatever that means.

I knew this was coming!

I will be 72 in December, married to the same woman for 48 years. Buying the Versa is typical of my most serious handicap. I'm a young fellow trapped in this old man body.

Grouch has an Avalon. Our excuse for the Versa was, "having something for me to get around in and out of her Avalon." She now spends more time in the Versa than the other car. I hear her tell others what a pleasure it is to drive in the traffic.

You young people keep posting. I enjoy reading the posts. Some of it reminds me of my youth.

53 year old male. Married. Been a car guy forever.

The Versa is my daily driver. My wife's daily is a Mini.

As my user name suggests my weekend/touring car is a slightly modified '98 240SX. When I want to go really fast I have a '95 240SX race car.

I enjoy drives in the mountains....oops getting off track.

Most hatchbacks these days seem targeted at 20-something males. It seems we prefer compacts in hatchback guise to those in sedan form. I personally prefer the hatchbacks because subcompact sedans look very disproportionate. The hatchback does a lot to alleviate the goofy look that most small cars have.

Hey Mudd,

We're all gonna be there someday. I am a 20yr old trapped in a 45yr old body myself. Won't be all that long before I'm that same 20yr old trapped in a 72yr old body. 48 yrs married to the same woman?!? I'm at 23yrs now. Tell me Mudd, how did you get past that "ready to thow myself off a bridge" phase?

We are finding out that the Versa seems to have a very wide appeal. I would mod mine too of I had the money.

I agree with zeroblack21. I was wanting to ditch my Audi and get one of the newest toys in town! and it looks like now I am the youngest here, 20 years old, male and would be married but not able to yet.

Married an ol country girl from my area. Good woman. Stayed with me through thick and thin. We served 21 years in the military. She mostly stayed home and wondered if I would come back. Think I got the best. She raised two children mostly on her on. I will never get to return to her the praise she deserves. Just be sure before you marry, that your life's partner is someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Hear hear. There's some sound advice.

And I know, having been married only 5 years, I probably don't get to have much input in that matter.

I found myself a super-compassionate, animal-loving, patient (though dont tell her I said that) woman with a super sense of humor and the amazing ability to put up with me.

This forum alone wants me to purchase a Versa. What a great bunch of people together on the 'net.

Of course my mid-life side says G35 Coupe and M35

Wow. We are a diverse group, aren't we?

I'm a 47-year old happily married woman in Western Oklahoma.

We wanted to improve on gas mileage while not sacrificing comfort. Hubby wanted a "car" and I did not want to give up my SUV.

The hatchback is wonderful (albeit going in the shop on Monday for the seat belt/airbag problem.)

Well, since I will be putting 25-30k/yr on it I figure the VQ would be better for me. If not, I would get a M45 sport

52 yrs old, married 31, driven hatchbacks the last 650,000 miles. My wife's thinking about getting rid of her Odyssey now that the kids are both away in school. She never liked the Probe, but we may be getting another Versa!

22yo male, basically married. Waiting to finish school and whatnot.

I don't really care all that much for aftermarket mods and stuff. The most I'll probably do is get tinting and maybe a nosemask. I'm all about the inside of the car. As long as the outside is nice and shiny.

37M maried 10 years, together 15. One kid 10yo daughter, adopting three more next month (all under the age of three), been foster parenting them for two years.

The versa is my commuter car. The family schleps around in an 06 Quest. We couldn't even all fit in the V if we wanted to. Bought both cars within three weeks of each other. I was so impressed with the Quest, that when the transmission started going in my sable, I thought I'd look at a sentra. That was early July and the versas were just hitting the lots.

I wanted small, fuel efficient, and the hatch seemed to make more sense. Plus the Versa is so much roomier than the old Sentras.

Funny thing is we've both been driving Fords for the last 9 years. Glad to be done with them, never was a Ford man 'til we moved to Iowa. Just seemed they were there when we needed them. I've owned a 1970 Volvo, two chevys (1960 corvair, and 1976 Monty), Four Nissans, including the two I own now and a 1978 B210, and 1990 pickup, one Saturn, a 1984 Dodge Daytona, and five Fords/Mercurys.

Funnest car I ever owned was the 'vair. Didn't last long though. I was young and broke and couldn't afford to fix it up. I drove it for a summer then got rid of it after the engine popped a spark plug out of the head. Tried to heli-coil it but it was beyond my skills.

Ah well I'm getting way OT.

22 year old male. Engaged. Software engineer.

Other vehicle is a 80cc Scooter which I commute on most of the time. Versa is for the fiance and I to drive around in and shop and what not. Our other vehicle is a small Ford pickup which is great to have on hand.

Thanks!

Sometimes I think THEY rescued ME. They are such a blast! Great kids.

One of the boys was shaken near to death at three months old. His brother has heart defects and has already had two surgeries. We've been busy but things are finally starting to normalize in our house.

47, widow - traded my '04 Titan for the V. Decided it was time to downsize and simplify. (besides.... it's a BLAST to drive !)

I'll chime in a couple of other V owners that aren't memebers here:

Mom, 67, widow - traded her 10 yo Pathfinder for better gas mileage and more comfort (she really misses the leather tho)

Chris, 62, single - the V is his daily driver, he also has a pick-up
