19 y/o single male. Traded in my first ever car, an '88 Dodge Daytona, for my Versa =-) Absolutely loving it and the idea of slappin' a 1.5" drop, some chrome lipped black rims and a turbo on it makes me drool! (Super Black Versa)

Hey, if you haven't already done so, pop in and say HI in the Northwest forum. We have occasional meets, I'd love to not be the only Versa.

I am a 27 y/o male, married with 3 kids and a dog. I am active duty Navy. Been in the navy for almost 10 years. My other car is a Saturn Relay mini-van. We bought the Nissan for our commutes to and from work. Almost bought a Yaris, but then we saw the Versa commercial and checked it out. It's perfect for us and we can fit the entire family in it when our Saturn goes to the dealership for repairs (which happens quite often). On that note- never buy a Saturn. It's 9 months old and has had more repairs than my 89 Celica which I bought for $300 3 years ago. Still running strong.

It's sad what happened to Saturn when GM decided they were too good of an idea.

I used to own a '97 Saturn SC1 coupe. EXTREMELY reliable, very fun to drive, and I got 33 mpg city (40 highway on 85 octane gas in Idaho while cruising 80 mph with the A/C on, no less!)

That coupe had only one failure, ever... it had an alternator go out. Not a big deal at all.

I think you might be the only owner of a Versa in Australia Don't you guys have luxurious Tiida with the leather everywhere, the seats that massage your butt, and a Nissan butler?

Bill Strong, 43, Married4 kids, 2 in college and 2 in elementary school.I own 9 cars, 6 of which are Toyota MR2s. One Celica All-Trac and One Dodge Dakota 5.9L 4X4. Trading a BMW 3 series for the Versa. Will have one this weekend.

My wife and I commute 100 miles a day to work, we need a good reliable car that fits out "mature" bodies and need a vehicle that gets over 30mpg. We also did not want to spend an arm and a leg for a car.The BMW was nice, but was just a pain in the *** to keep up. Once they reach a certain age they start falling apart faster than I could keep up.

I also run a 30,ooo member car community.

48 year old male, software engineer. Married 7 years, two girls ages 4 and soon to be 2. We have a 2003 Ford Expedition and a 1997 Ford F-150. We went to the Nissan dealer to look at the Titan as a replacement for the F-150, but I didn't like the interior of the Titan. We were about to walk out of the dealership when the kids started playing inside this little car on the showroom floor. I looked inside and it seemed roomy, so I sat in the driver's seat and found one of the few small cars into which I could fit comfortably. We asked to take a test drive. They only had one other Versa in stock, besides the one on the showroom floor, so we drove that one and fell in love with it. We went home, decided we wanted it, and bought the Super Black SL with the beige interior the next day. The F-150 just sits in the driveway now. Occasionally a neighbor will borrow it to haul some stuff. Even though the Expedition has all the bells and whistles, including the DVD player, the kids prefer the Versa. Whenever we need to go out they ask if we can take the black car. When we need to go somewhere with what my wife considers dangerous traffic (a result of the idiots who frequent the roads in South Florida), she wants to take "The Tank" (i.e. the Expedition). However, I actually feel safer in the Versa because I know that I can maneuver it in a way I can't maneuver the Expedition without risking a rollover. With the six airbags and strong passenger compartment the Versa seems pretty safe to me.

I can attest to that safety.

Go search for "Pics of damage to EV's versa" a couple pages down... it will have pics of the damage to the rear and front of my Versa.

I was hit from behind by a Ford F150 (modified for construction work) and thrown into a Suburban. Both vehicles weighed at LEAST double what the V does, and I not only walked away from the crash myself (almost completely unhurt, no less!), but was even able to drive the Versa to the body shop without calling a tow truck!

Mind you, I was at a dead stop and the Ford hit me doing 20-25 mph.. that is a SERIOUS impact there. It's amazing how these things are designed.

Hello,

Im a 29 yo female french Canadian living in Montreal, QC.

Im driving our Versa to comute to work (about 90km daily) and I love it! So confortable and the bluetooth is so cool!

I gave away my old Hyundai Accent 96 when it started being unreliable ; I was a little sad since I bought the car brand new just before starting University 10 years ago! Even lived in my Hyundai-falia for 6 month, travelling the southern States, with Mike (now my husband). http://www.igloovert.com/vw/Hy....html

But the Versa manage to dry my eyes! :D

My husband is 31 yo and drive his Jeep Wrangler YJ 95 to go to work... And we also own a VW Westfalia 1966 that we restored ourself and we use for camping and travelling long distance while in vacation... We have a VW Squareback 1969 waiting for new engine and some TLC in the garage...

I guess I beat everyone at 17 years old. This is my 2nd car, first new car. Payments are being made by me, myself, and I, put nothing down and drove off happy! lol My other car is a 1994 Suzuki Sidekick JX 4 door 4x4. That car is a whole lot of fun, it is a manual so that is one thing I miss now that I have my Versa. Used to scare my friends by drifting corners in it, they would almost $hi7 themselves when it felt like it was about to flip, but never would. Still sitting waiting for me to fix the clutch. But the V is a great car, love it! Quite a bit of room inside, and was suprised at how much of my DJ equipment actually fit inside of this lil car!!!

26 years old and loving my Versa in Montreal, Canada.

I had a 2005 Echo hatchback until December 28, when a gentleman on the highway decided to change lanes without looking and caused me to crash. After bouncing off a concrete wall and an 18-wheeler, I was in perfect shape but my Echo was totalled.

My rental car for the next month while I waited for the insurance money (I had replacement value) was a 2007 Yaris hatch. I've never been more dissapointed with a car in my life. It sucks. Too many design flaws to list here. So I looked at the Fit and Versa, and the 1% interest on financing and the SL's standard features won me over.
