Demographic of Versa buyers

I bought my Versa because it was the best vehicle for my job; I am a computer tech for a school district, which requires me to travel from building-to-building and haul computers around all the time. I am 22, and this is my 12th car.

Yeah, so I bought the V 'cause I wanted a bigger car. My previous ride was a '99 turbodiesel beetle. I gave up a few bells and whistles, but the V is a neat little car that has incredible space inside.

I looked at Hyundai, the Fit, the SX4, dragging the then 6'-6" 16 year old along. He's grown since then. He could only fit in the back of the V, but fortunately for me, his legs are too long to fit in the driver's seat.

Me? I'm 54 tomorrow, have 2 boomerangs (left home, came back) the aforesaid giant, an indulgent husband the gearhead who let me chose this car myself, one cat, and a beige dog, which is why my blueberry SL has a beige interior.

54 male, now retired in Panama (after Edmonton and Portland OR for many years), used to manage software projects for Intel.

Besides all the great features of the Tiida it's very appealing transportation for Panama. With lots of traffic and smaller streets a smaller car maneuvers better. With a smaller retirement income I wanted something economical. Also wanted Nissan's reliability cause if the car I drive breaks down out in the country I don't speak enough Spanish to call a tow truck.

23 (nearly 24), male, partnered and just a year out of college. This will be my 3rd car. Old HS car was the parents old mid 80's Crown Victoria, which I named the Boat. 2nd was my grandmothers old '91 Honda Civic Wagon, which alongside my parents Pontiac Vibe led to my love of hatchback vehicles. Oh and I live in Northern Idaho to boot.

36 year-old here, father of one. Upgraded from an aging and ailing Ford Escort so this is quite an upgrade. We honed in on the new class of hatchbacks because we wanted versatility but didn't want to give up the gas mileage fight and get a small SUV. I drive 70 miles a day, purely highway, so gas sippage rather than gulpage is quite important.

We started looking at the Matrix, the Vibe, the Mazda3, the Fit. We checked out the Suzukis and Hyundais and Kias, although the last three were never on the list. Honestly the Versa was something of an afterthought, a real example that TV advertising still works. We saw the ad, and I first drove the 6spd and hated it. Thought about it some more, went back and took the CVT for a spin. Loved it, and that's where I sit today!

I have a Magnetic Grey SL CVT with Charcoal interior, Sunroof package, Audio package, Convenience package, XM Radio, splashguards, kickplates, floormats - pretty much everything available at the time except ABS. Got about 2200 miles on it so far. Ordered in October, arrived in December.

I love my car. I wish spring would get here already so I'd be more motivated to customize it somewhat. Oh, and my kids love the car too :-)

My Versa is the 4th car I've had since I started driving at 16, my second new car traded in my 05 sentra that i had for 2 years in for the V, I got sick of the sentra fairly quick. Love the Versa and definitely plan on keeping this car.
