One of their top mods, (may be he was an admin) said he would love it if their was a link between us two.

we've actually had a huge discussion about the forum menu layout, I personally dont mind the way it is now, but would much rather have a "redirect" link for the engine talk under the car heading. IE, have a little "SR" link under the 240sx/silvia secion that takes someone to the SR RWD forum.

that way, we get the best of both worlds.

Also note, that the MR2 board is specific to one car...so all their talk is directed to that vehicle...while we have multiple cars with same engines...

I like the way its set up now, because its not just 240's that use KA, SR, CA, etc... its alot of different Nissans, and alot of the discussions apply for more than the rwd versions of the motors:)

I do like Chet's idea though. Links to the rwd SR section in the 240 section is smart...sounds good to me!:D

i like the "keeping them seperat but having a direct link that isnt the sidebar" idea. OR put the sidebar up top where it is conveniant and move the adds to the bottom.

The CA, SR, KA, RB, and suspension/brakes forum could be accessed from other parts of the board[/quote]that is what I said.

I was just pointing out that the MR2 forum uses vbulletin better than NICO does because it has sub forums within open main forums. (On NICO there is no need for there to be a seperate link to the 240sx gen chat when the 240sx/200sx/Silvia forum could be open and serve as the gen chat.

A few months back I emailed the admin of G20.net and asked about having a linking relationship with them. He said that at the time he and "the g20.net users" had no desire to be associated with NICO. Perhaps he had the wrong impression of what I wanted to set up, but for some reason he didn't like the idea.

This is a great discussion here guys. I am one of the mods over on G20.net, but not the admin. I would like to say that a linking partnership would be great.

As some stated, we (g20.net) are a pretty small group of enthusiasts. Any help to support and grow both communities would be greatly appreciated.

Convince the admin over there (I forget his name) to email me and rethink discussing the situation. You can give him my email addy ([email protected]). Tell him we are open to any ideas he would have about how the link would work. It needs to be beneficial both directions, and to both sites.

lessthanjakejohn wrote:I never go there because it takes too much effort for my browsing style. What if a CA, SR, KA, RB, suspension/brakes, and tech forum were located inside the Basic 240 section much like this?

The CA, SR, KA, RB, and suspension/brakes forum could be accessed from other parts of the board (such as an engine section or the 300zx section or skyline section) as needed

I really want the layout to change because this board has very nice members and it needs to be exploited with the best layout possible.

I like on how your favorites list you have "love jui...." as one of the sites....hmmmm, wonder what that has

Hey now, that's not fair, we don't even know you guys for the most part... I never hear anybody from G20.net say anything bad bout the Nico Fam... I mean, we're all one big family, aren't we? Tha'd kinda be cuttin off your nose to spite your face if you ask me... you guys have a lot of knowlege here that we refer to a lot... and we're always glad to see you guys venture over... :alcoholic

Nice car!

Belive it or not coming from a Q driver.I always liked the G's a lot!

I remember getting them as loaners when my car was in for service and they were a lot of fun.

And of course the engine is very tunable as we all know.

I'll come over and say hi .

partnerships would be cool. Welcome u G20.net guys that are visiting!:D

...i think the sidebar 'quick links' are kind of a pain too, and being on 56k, i can attest to the time it actually takes to load a page, it sucks balls. watever happend to the 56k friendly 'skin' that was being designed?

hey, whats up, by saying what i said I was just remembering what a few people mentioned abut NICO when I visit over there weekly... Yahnoza mentioned something about linking sites and so I told him I would mention it over here (which i did in this thread)

But If I wanted to i could quote a few members over there, but I wont.

Nice G20. I may pick up one soon myself or perhaps a spec v. :D
