Actually What I found goes to prove my point why after market shops in my area arn't the best. His base idle screw was completely screwed in. Therefore in the mornings when it started up it had no where near the correct mixture and would stall some times several times unless you gave it gas. When I used consult to put it in base idle mode it just stalled. I had to find a nice medium with the adjustment before I could even set it. I also ran a complete diag scan before I touched anything. Once it warmed up all his alpha readings and o2 sensor operation looked pretty good. He had the usual knock sensor code, which by the way Sam I would put that in the lower end of the mechanical needs. The car actually runs fairly well just has some stability issues when going down the road, and a few leaks.goody94q45 wrote:Share with us what Scott was able to find that other less trained eyes weren't able to find. Scott helped me out a while back with a great email explanation of the Q45 emission control system. It led me right to the source of the problem I'd been stumped over for months.
