I don't have anything planned for September, so I should be good to go for the meet. I'll double check my schedule later to confirm that I won't be out of town.
I may have my blacked out headlights in by then. Been lazy with finding a weekend to install them.

Yes, the 18th is rock solid! :)

The only thing that might change is the location but it won't change by more than a few miles.

I've had it since the very end of last year. Installed in December. There's about 10,000 miles on it but it still works perfectly. It says you have to clean the filter every 15,000 miles which I'd prolly clean it before I sold it anyway. :) ... And Stillen retail for it is $369. Obviously I'm not goin ask that much for it, pretty much, give me your best offer via PM if you're interested. As for my reasons on selling it, just tinkering with some new things, will tell more later.

Ok, to the meet... I will need an accurate head count of everyone attending due to a change in location and possibly making this event a wee longer... So instead of starting at 7pm, it will most likely be anywhere from 3pm to 6pm.

On the location... My Dad had worked for the Pilot Knoll Park in Highland Village as his retirement job and well, he decided to retire from that but he still resides there and he said that the day park area would be perfect for our meet. It sits next to Lake Lewisville and there's several pavilions with grilles and such and a parking area in which we can do our thing. With that, there's good news and bad news, bad news is that there is an entry fee which I'm negotating on a "group rate" at the moment, haha... It will be anywhere from $5-$10 to enter PER CAR. The good news is that there will be FREE food and drinks. Mostly burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken and other assortment of snacks. With this, we'd obviously skip the Thai food place I mentioned.

With all that said, who is interested in this idea?

Here's the map to the new location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source= ... 10085&z=17

It's a bit more "out of the way" but I think it would be worth it and we wouldn't have to worry about anyone trying to remove us from their parking lot. haha... And btw, I wouldn't bother with the "Get directions" function for it will take you through some back country roads to get there. Google Maps hasn't updated the fact that 2499 goes directly to the park now so it's a lot easier to get too now. If anyone needs help in getting there, just hit me up, it's not too bad coming from 121 or I35.

Also, here's the list I have thus far;

Confirmed
Ranga14 + 2 guest, maybe a 3rd
CoupeVQ35CVT + 1 guest
insaneturbo13 + 1 guest (Coming from Oklahoma)

this sounds like an awesome idea ranga, i would totally be down for this, i bet we will be able to get some great pics! the price to get in to the place will completely outweigh the cost of going out to eat so i think thats good.

I'm from a small town by McKinney (45 minutes north of Dallas), so I can just hop on 121 and get there in about an hour if all goes well.

Hoping to be able to install my fogs by the time the meet rolls around, we'll see.

you could try to get more people to attend by posting on the NissanClub forums as well

Due to change in location, changing meet time to 4pm but it's fine if you show up a little late, no big deal. But the park does close at 10pm so we can't be there past that.

I'll be there as long as work doesn't come up with something random last minute. It will just be me, the girlfriend works on Saturdays.

I saw your car at Quakecon Ranga. Went Thursday night to get the computers to the BYOC and saw your car in the parking lot.

So good news and bad news. Good news is I won't have to pay a pavilion fee. Bad news is the entry fee for each car will be $10.

Other good news is there's still free food. lol :)

That's funny, I was there from Thursday at noon until Saturday evening. I did the QdQ wed night, was cool. The network could have been better though.

---------------------------------------
Official Info
---------------------------------------

Event Name:
DFW - Nissan Altima Meet

Event Time:
4pm - 10pm
*Start time is flexible, if you can't make it till 6ish, no issues.

Event Location:
Pilot Knoll Park in Highland Village, TX

Event Cost:
$10 per Vehicle, sorry, this is something we can't get around.

Event Directions:
From I35 - Take FM 407 exit and get onto 407 heading "west", go through about 8 red lights, at this point you'll be in a big shopping center area with a Lowes on your left and some restaurants on your right. you then take a right on 2499 and drive through mostly a few sub divisions until you cross a bridge that's brand new that goes over an outlet of Lake Lewisville, immediately after the bridge, you'll take a right onto Orchid Hill Lane and proceed straight into the park. Once there (at the gate), mention that you're with the Dallas Altima Group and then drive straight ahead to the Day Park. (Don't take a left, that's the overnight park)

From 121 - Heading "north" from the airport, take the 2499 exit that goes over the highway there, once on 2499 you'll pass through Grapevine briefly, then Flower Mound and finally reach Highland Village (It's a bit of a trek). you'd then drive through mostly a few sub divisions until you cross a bridge that's brand new that goes over an outlet of Lake Lewisville, immediately after the bridge, you'll take a right onto Orchid Hill Lane and proceed straight into the park. Once there (at the gate), mention that you're with the Dallas Altima Group and then drive straight ahead to the Day Park. (Don't take a left, that's the overnight park)

Google Maps Link: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source= ... 10085&z=17

FYI, be careful when driving through Flower Mound and especially Highland Village, HV has undercover cops around that love pulling over speeders and Flower Mound cops aren't very nice either.

Event Rules:
There's not many except I've been told explicitly, NO DRAG RACING in the park, there's camp officers that come around and if they see that, they'll throw you out. I doubt anyone would be that foolish though, just had to say. :) ... However, we can rev our engines while in park if someone wants to hear someone elses exhaust but don't do it in a constant manner to annoy others. Loud music isn't an issue from what I believe so I think we're good there too.

Event Food:
As stated prior, free food. However, if you're unsure as to if a specific drink of your choice will be there then I'd say bring your own but we'll have mostly things like hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, chips, dip, soda, etc.
