There is no need to bring this back up dude... the cost of doing this correctly is MASSIVE... time consumption is incredible... finding a shop that wants to dive into it is a whole other matter altogether...

I know a guy who is doing this swap right now as we speak... and sorry, I can't give you his contact information until he is done...

And the shop doing this conversion has a half dozen mechanical geniuses. Anyone in that shop could do just about anything you asked of them, but this conversion has been nothing but a headache for them for the better part of 6 months. They keep runnning into issues that they have to pull strings for, ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL! This idea is just plain ridiculous, unless you have a great dream for the Altima Coupe and an endless budget, then I say go for it!

Nissan first went mainstream with CVT in the Nissan Muranos and they encountered tons of problems. most Nissan Muranos had their transmission mess up after the first CVT fluid change.

that was many years ago. there are members who have had the fluid changed and have had no problems. Its a CVT transmission but very different from the old ones. PLUS the CVT warranty was extended to 10 years or 120,000 miles (which ever comes first). so no need to worry.

dude seriously?! wow send me a link to the vid. max props to him!

when people start doing auto (cvt) to 6mt swaps, it means the car has finally matured and become a tuner car 8-)

next step is making a guide for people to do the swap with wiring diagrams and part lists.

Yeah, maybe in a few years we'll have diagrams perhaps.

I just don't see that happening on a large scale for this car... I know for a fact that the person doing this swap has put a lot of money into it... its just not cheap at all... to be honest, what would really be sick for him to do is try the AWD conversion that Mendi spoke about a few years back... that would be STTTUUUPPIIIDDD
