AAC is required to alow the car to idle. but you could relocate it to the firewall and run some 3/4 heater hoses into the plenum and into the IC piping.

if it is as simple as that it can be sorted out and fitting put on the plenum to support the aac.

P.S. still no reply from website owner ?? i am keen to sort something out.

hey, im kinda curious to see this. i dont have the money now but maybe if all goes well i can afford one in the not too distant future. if you could email the pictures to me at [email protected] it would be great.

its good to see more and more people making parts for this engine, its becoming quite a real contender compared to when i first got it.

I went over to ISL33P house last night to have a look at his Plenums and can tell you that they are a good job with excellent welds etc.

Going by that economy air to UK is $86.50

What is the final price of the plenum? I may want 3 of these

What size throttle body do you propose to use with this plenum?

final price has not been determined but around $US450 or $AUS600 plus freight. if you buy 3 or more we can sort something out. email me [email protected]

throttle body size depends on the cars main use. street/drag/dyno i would recommend a large throttle body 60mm+ and for circuit use i would recommend something like a rb20 or something around the 50-60mm to keep throttle response up.

gtr i have sent you some photos.datsun_boy i just sent you the photos which are on here

Yea, if any of you are still using the http://www.nissaninfiniticlub.com site, switch to the http://www.nicoclub.com site and see if that helps.

gbot the results back for the flow bench testing. spoke to the engine builder and he recommended to not include the head for the test (mainly due to not knowing the exact condition of the head since it came off an engine which had a very tough past life, two broken ring lands and valves on the scrap side of things) but to test it the same way intercoolers are tested for flow. the results were very surprising and impressive.

- standard manidfold flowed 343cfm at 25 inches - custom plenum flowed 555cfm at 25 inches

this equates to a 62% (61.8% to be precise) gain over the standard manifold. not bad for my first attempt.

i am going to see the test vehicle tommorow to sort out the final installation and dyno results will be available soon thereafter.

Why is it that whenever I friggin load an attached image, it says this crap:

"ErrorFile attachments can only be linked from the message board server; Outside linking is not allowed.

Your referrer: http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....86596"

It always works otherwise... (img links etc). Argh... I wanna see... =(

Same when I'm at work but at home it's fine. It might be some freaky firewall/proxy settings somehow..

used an aussie ford throttle body, measure 65mm internal diameter.

cortina-mk1 - i was going to pick up the plenum on monday but i may get him to do another test to see how each cylinder flows. yes the test was carried out over all four.

i'll let you know how it goes.
