So i was on my way to school from ny to pa on rt 80 in jersey. I was on the phone "speaker so i wasn't holding it" with Altimacoupedan asking him y my car felt funny bc it kept jerking right to left. Then as i told him this my car did it again and the azz end slid out sending me spinning i was going 60 mph at this time. I spun across 4 lanes into the guard rail and somehow didnt hit anyone else "there was a lil traffic". And through all this my airbags didnt go off sooooooo it shouldnt be totaled......i had to drive it from 19 miles before the delaware water gap to wilkesbarre pa which took me 2 n a half hours going 35mph.

This is crazy i was only just working on my headlights this week for like 3 days and poof its gone now literally........pics from wen i went to the gas station kinda show it a lil

DAMAGES - from what i can see - Hood, Bumper, Headlight, Headlight wiring, front and rear qt panels, door wont open, suspension, axel, both wheels, and whole new paint job

Damn Matt this sucks to hear and see. Glad to know that you're ok and nobody else was hurt. I've said it before and I'll say it again. "The car can be repaired or replaced, but your life can't."

glad you're ok dude! i wonder if insurance may just total it because of the damage to the axel and suspension, and possibly the front end of your frame...

Wheel Imbalance? Ice in the wheel?

Regardless, you should SLOW DOWN in these instances (on wet road no less, seriously matt?)

I am glad you are ok, but you have to smarten up, if your car doesnt feel right, going 60 on a wet road while talking to someone on the fone is just not a good idea man.

Then after the accident, you are out of your mind to drive that far with the car in that condition... 19 miles? 35 mph for 2 hrs with what you claim is broken "2 wheels, a headlight, and an axel" well thats just plain silly man.

Best start saving your money man, because this is gonna be an expensive mistake you will be paying over many years thru insurance.

Again, glad you are ok!

I agree what LBC said. I mean if you knew there was a problem you shouldn't had driven it. I mean the day before Thanksgiving I was driving to my parents house (about 1 1/2 hour drive) and notice there is this weird clunking sound on my driver side wheel. It only happen when I released the gas. I was lucky to make it home safe because the next day I did not drive it at all until I found out the problem which was my lugs loosening up on its own...

Not sure how it happen but I was lucky.

Lucky you are safe but this will be a huge lesson to learn from. If there is anything wrong with the car where you know its not safe to drive, pull over and get it towed somewhere or exit the highway and pull into the first gas station.

Well I already talked to Matt about this last night but depending on who he deals with, he could probably make out very well in this, meaning get aftermarket parts in lieu of OEM

matt should just keep the insurance money and mold his own body kit.... the additional of lights will be limitless that way.

I doubt its gonna be totaled. Insurance companies usually total cars where the value of the repair is 70% of the cars value. That doesn't look like 10k in damage to me. Really the only things that put you car in that bracket are, rollovers, 360 degree damage, and/or heavy frame damage.

sorry to hear about your accident. the pics make me soo sad. Glad to hear your ok.

BRIGHT SIDE... stock rims were on so u won;t have to replace an aftermarket rim which probably wouldn't be replaced under your insurance.

OW OW OW OUCH....damn sorry for your car man, but like others have said use the money for aftermarket parts instead of OEM parts. and glad that you came out of this ok and anyone else that was in your car.

look on the bright side, now u can spend contemplating how to do your lights now and what parts you gonna buy =]
