I was on the phone "speaker so i wasn't holding it" with Altimacoupedan asking him y my car felt funny bc it kept jerking right to left. Then as i told him this my car did it again and the azz end slid out sending me spinning i was going 60 mph at this time. I spun across 4 lanes into the guard rail and somehow didnt hit anyone else "there was a lil traffic". And through all this my airbags didnt go off sooooooo it shouldnt be totaled......i had to drive it from 19 miles before the delaware water gap to wilkesbarre pa which took me 2 n a half hours going 35mph.

This is crazy i was only just working on my headlights this week for like 3 days and poof its gone now literally........pics from wen i went to the gas station kinda show it a lil

DAMAGES - from what i can see - Hood, Bumper, Headlight, Headlight wiring, front and rear qt panels, door wont open, suspension, axel, both wheels, and whole new paint job
OMG.

seriously I'm glad you're ok man. looks like your good rims didn't suffer, only the stockers ha! I hope insurance fixes all that shizzle and then some .

next time be careful man, don't take unnecessary risk when you feel the car isn't right. I wanna see you at carlisle in one piece!!

ya- ok so- when PhEnoM called me, the first thing he did was tell me to give him a sec, and put me on speakerphone.

we then started talking about carlisle and stuff were doin w/ the cars and such, and he was tellin me about how his car felt like he was hydroplaning all the time and such and how the car felt loose and the rain was horrible and then how he didnt want to drive during this and school is retarded etc -and w/e else

then i hear "oh...-" and a smack and then i was disconnected- now im figurin- this aint good cus we both have verizon and i've never had a dropped call lol- so 2 mins later, he calls me back and says "bro holy f***, my car is like dead" and then he says how the phone was in the pass. seat an flew forwrd and the battery fell out and w/e- and ya i agree- that whole thing sucks.. but at least u got sum good news today news that i'm gna jump u for u lucky sob hahaha

if theres frame damage i dont want it but i dont think there is ima look at it w/ my boy who does alot of stuff to whips.......it sucks but i got lucky so yea
adidas2go wrote:I doubt its gonna be totaled. Insurance companies usually total cars where the value of the repair is 70% of the cars value. That doesn't look like 10k in damage to me. Really the only things that put you car in that bracket are, rollovers, 360 degree damage, and/or heavy frame damage.
The Altima has no frame. It is of a unibody construction. I believe that what they are referring to when they mention the frame is the floor pan, rocker panel or other structural steel panels that make up the underbody of the car. http://www.carfax.com/car_buying/car_frames.cfx

What is unibody construction? http://ask.cars.com/2008/10/what-is-unibody.html

i guess this would be considered a loss of control accident which will most likely show as an automatic 100% at fault accident on your insurance... that sucks

i seen the thread, but didnt really post. same thing ALMOST happened to me when i went to GA last weekend. Luckily, i got my car back in control. I'm sorry to see what happened to yours, Phenom. Glad your ok though, i was tripping out because when it happen to me, it was also raining. Matter fact it was the same weekend for me, as you. We were on the far right side of the highway and was swerving all the way to the left, and missed the sidewall by a few lengths. It was pouring, but i wasn't speeding. *sorry if i thread jacked, i just kinda feel like rain was out to get us that weekend.

has to be.. there was a lil flicker of light before this happened, and i watched my dash to see if it showed up agian. SLIP was the light that came on, and i thought i could handle a lil water under tires so i just slid a lil the 1st time. then the 2nd time is when we were lookin like a \ on the road instead of straight. I'm gonna try and get some aftermarket rims etch in the future.

i thought only 3.5SE's come with VDC, neither convenience nor premium package on the 2.5 has VDC I believe.

Matt it's probably the tires, I know 09 coupes got better tires on stock wheels, but I know our 08 tires are garbage and don't grip to anything.

Well I thought if I put (HLSD or Helical Limited Slip Differential) then people would think I was being serious.

And yes VDC is only available on the 3.5And yes Stock tires suck on damp asphalt let alone while it's pouring
