"THIS VEHICLE WAS SPECIAL ORDERED WITH DEALER INSTALLED PERFORMANCE PACKAGE, RAISING OUTPUT TO 365 HORSEPOWER". Did such package from the dealer really exist?

^ the "dealer installed" could refer to just about anything after-market put onto the car prior to original sale. There was no such "Factory Option" available. Maybe the dealer put on two of those Turbonator inserts into the air intake tubes; hence, a Quad-Turbo Z. A dealer who was well ahead of the curve, years before ebay was started. :rotfl

This, folks, is the blueprint for a scammer even if only trying to scam extra $ for this car.
He pushes all the wrong buttons since he doesn't know the car, and only a Z enthusiast would be able to see past this smokescreen to realize it's simply a low mileage TT with a few mods.
Some chump with his bonus check will scarf this thing up thinking he got a special Z, and only MAYBE find out the truth somewhere later down the line when he's selling it because he can't afford to keep it running right...

Only 7K for an NA with unspecified amount of miles, "no engine mods", but an unclean rear strut bar install, a crappy looking matte black plasti-dip and a not-so-great interior. A steal! https://austin.craigslist.org/cto/4125830329.html

Yeah, $7,000 would normally be a tad high, except you missed the part where it has an Autotradgic transmission. I'm sure that in Pflugerville, that's a plus. Just what would you exactly call someone who resides in Pflugerville? A Pflugervite? A Pflugerson? Did Horton hear a Pfluger?

Now we're back on track. This one "Needs rear body work." Somehow, he/she overlooked the rest of the car?

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/c ... 36229.html

Maybe just a big azz wing, some plastidip, and over-fender flares?

Got to have the right priorities. He's selling his chrome wheels for $850. He probably paid more for the wheels than he paid for the car.

The second picture.

$15,000 and it doesn't even state the mileage.

How could this thread be allowed to rot all the way back on page 3? This is sacrilege!

So in keeping with the theme here, I present you with this:

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/c ... 49144.html

Now some of you may scoff at the price; however, those nay-Sayers need to be more observant. This jewel is a white Limo with a red steering wheel cover, yellow air-freshener hung from the turn signal stalk, black bra, a phone the size of a brick, and perhaps the most butt-ugly wheels ever.

I'll agree with all the sarcasm, especially the phone (WTF???) but in all reality, it is a pretty clean 2-2 with leather, and steering wheel cover notwithstanding, leather DOES hold weight if it's undamaged. Biggest thing is, it's only got 78K on the odometer which is not too shabby for a '91. I certainly wouldn't go the $8200 but it's not as unreasonable as it sounds.

I saw the supposed 78,000 miles. Which does make it not so laughable. However, it was the "best" I could find to revive the thread.

Wait a minute!!!! I went back and looked at the ad again! And, it is worth $8,200 without question. If you look at the third picture, there is a spot of light being reflected into the window of the house, window next to the open garage door. A very small light. Appears to be greenish in color and reflected from inside the car around the ignition key switch. It must have the rare factory option for "key light on at all times." :naughty:

SOLD! Why didn't I see that before? Hell, I'll up it to $9500 just to make sure I'm the highest bidder! :chuckle:
