its not a real launch control, it just changes your rev limit. i have the link at home, but if you search theres a writeup in one of the main the power fc FAQ's that are on the web.

You must have this to use the anti-lag function:

99% of RB25 PFC owners do not have the Pro version.

That is a screen shot from paulr33's FAQ on the PFC. I don't know when I going to get at the launch control test because I'm booked solid thru Sunday. Might get after it Sunday afternoon. I will definitely keep the thread posted. If I get it to work, I guarantee a video. I know my video guarantee is worthless, but it'll be different this time I promise!

I'm messing with Copilot today. I got auto-tune to work at idle. I'm sure it will work at cruising speed as well, I just haven't left the driveway yet.

Launch control seems to work too. I set the launch rpm at 2,000 and mash the gas and it sounds like a two-step and sticks at 2,000rpm. I tried it at 3,000 and quickly at 4,000rpm as well, seems to do its job. I can't see how much boost I'm gaining though because my boost isn't logging when Copilot is running, not sure why. I blame the fact that I just switched from an Apexi boost sensor to a GM 3bar. I don't have it configured just write yet. FYI, I switched to GM 3bar because I broke my Apexi sensor . I pulled the motor out of my car with the vacuum line still attacted.... stupid.

I'll try it on the road later this afternoon.

Just an update.

I couldn't get copilot to auto-tune this weekend on the road. I didn't put too much effort into it, but it doesn't seem to be writing to the PFC. I'll try more when I have time.

Thanks for doing the legwork! I really appreciate it.

Let us know the status of the launch control stuff too once your boost sensor works.

I was gonna go mess with it two nights ago but I couldn't find the launch control part. Do I need my VSS hooked up?

You need the signal from the gauge cluster to the ECU for the launch control to work. So yes you need the VSS to go to the gauge cluster and then to the ECU.

BTW he put a new version out 3_3_1 or something.

Yes, if your ECU doesn't know about your speed, launch control will not work. The one bad thing about this type of launch control is you need a laptop running in your car for it to work.

Damn I was wondering that. I was hoping he could hack the Pro software and write it to the PFC or "unlock" it or whatever. So we'll have to have a laptop with when we hit the drag strip? ...bleh.

I log every single pass I make, not sure what the big deal is here. Just plug it in, and toss it in the back seat! Not like I want it on the street anyway.

I mean, crap its pretty much FREE! lol

There's a fuel map, ignition map, and AFR map. You set the AFR map up for what you want your tune to be based on. Instead of using a spreadsheet to manually change the fuel map after each log, the autotune feature adjusts the injector durations automatically and on the fly. The igntion timing feature will also add timing to each cell until knock is detected. When knock is detected, the timing will be backed off.

There are several parameters and settings that need to be input before tuning, or at least review the defaults. And I believe you can use autotune without it tuning the ignition map.

i think id do the ignition on a dyno. just because you advance the timing and its not knocking doesnt mean you are gaining power...

the afr/injector adjusting sounds cool though. could save lots of time

I gave up on it.

Launch control does not work in my car either. I don't think autotune works properly either.

Are you the one that was posting on the thread at spyderchat working with Kevin to get it to work right? What box are you using and what motor is it you have? Maybe Ill try again. From what I understood the autotuning "worked" but would not save the changes.

Software is designed for the power FC datalogit box specifically
