Here's what i dont like about Peyton. If he wins or loses, it doesnt matter. The following week on ESPN consists of Manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning Boo-yah,manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning manning.

Oh, and dont get me started about how the ravens got knocked out of playoffs. It's a traumatic story about a 375 lb guy named Orlando Brown who lost the game for baltimore, trying to be like Kenyatta Walker (G from TB who set the record for penalties in a game).

It took me a while to look at this thread again after Sunday's game. I have been a Chiefs fan all my life and every year they break my heart. The one year you think you have a good chance and then Sunday happened. :(

First, I have to give credit where credit is due. The Colts offense is amazing. Peyton Manning is playing out of his mind right now and it's a damn good time to do it. The Colts O looked and was unstoppable last weekend.

But...

The Chiefs should have won. With a defense so bad, we had to play perfect to compensate. We didn't. That call against Tony G was crap. But we made some serious mistakes. Johnnie Morton's two dropped passes, Morton Andersen's missed 31-yd field goal, Priest Holmes 2ND FUMBLE IN 410 TOUCHES. Aaargh! The game was frustrating to say the least.

My thoughts on the AFC championship game. The Patriots don't have near the offense the Chiefs do, but they have the best defense in the AFC. Regardless, they're going to score points on the Indy D. The Colts D sucks, we scored 31 points on them and could have scored more if weren't for mistakes. The pressure will be on Manning and the Colts O.

I don't think Manning can pull that out a 3rd straight week, especially in the cold of Foxboro against a guy (Belicheck) that has his number.

If Manning wins, he's getting a Super Bowl ring.

My pick? Patriots over the Panthers to win Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Nick

nah, I'm the type that doesn't believe until I see and/or touch for myself:D

and yeah, somebody needed to hand O Brown his *** for being like that, like Gary Anderson, just because I don't think I'd ever stop laughing if Gary Anderson beat him up:D

Well, my point has been made. I'm watching the Celtics - Spurs game for about 20 minutes now and theyve already mentioned manning three times. And no mention of any other NFL player.

Yes. Yes they do.

The Patriots look like an unstoppable football machine, and the Colts just can't keep up. Turnovers everywhere!

I'm watching the local pre-game, and the Fox Charlotte sports guy is trash-talking the philly fans. I predict he'll be dead by 6:00.

What an ugly game. Oh the horror. The Colts got destroyed. Oh well, there's always next year. Congrats to the Pats. They are the best team in the league and they proved that tonight. I can't wait to see em win the Super Bowl again.

Well, it's final now . . . I won't watch the Super Bowl, with the New England Patriots (yeah, right), and the Carolina Panthers (more like crazed killers, they took McNabb out of the game, with a lot of what should've been penalties) . . . and of course, being the Philly sports fan I am, we don't take losses well, or with grace . . . this is another one of those times. I'll stop there, before I get banned from the board . . .

Poor guy had his ribs killed, that ungodly-late hit on him after he was down by contact, though the officials were too blind to catch it. Lots of hard, possibly legitimate hits by the Panthers, but coming from a Philly fan, they were brutal. Not a fun game . . . definitely won't be watching the Super Bowl this year, won't be any sort of fun to watch . . .

even if he didn't get hurt, what kind of difference do you really think he would have made? who was he going to thow it to, the receivers? HA! he could try running the ball himself, but you can bet he would've gotten hurt sooner or later. he was just a moving target for carolina's defense.

You say that like it's a foregone conclusion. Both the Pats and the Panthers have been involved in some of the most exciting NFL games this year, I don't expect anything less than a heart-stopping thriller in the Super Bowl.

Pats have got a LOT of momentum behind them, and with any sort of luck we'll walk all OVER Carolina!...

BUT.....

if anybody here has paid ANY attention to the Patriots this year... they would realize that there has only been ONE real walk-away game this year. That was the second game they played against the Bills. Every other game this season was an extremely close contest right until the bitter end. This promises to be an exciting Super Bowl and perhaps another over-time Patriots victory!!!!

Woooo HOOooooooo go Pats!!!!

demcj: Hello, 4th and 26???? McNabb is a great QB, and a very mobile one at that . . . the way their receivers were getting nailed (one of them, maybe Thrash, got nailed in the head by a Panther), et cetra, they were getting throughly destroyed physically, and obviously in my opinion, beyond what should have been allowed. They took the Eagles' best player out . . . makes a BIG difference. A moving target for Carolina's defense? Yeah, sure, football's a contact sport . . . not a shooting contest. Not sure what you're thinking . . .

As for the Patriots, I live in New England, and I can't stand them, heh. :-) The Super Bowl might be a good game and all, but if any of you have ever been to a Philly sports event, you'd know what we're like . . . we're nuts and a$$holes. :-) I guess that's what originally being from Jersey gets me, heh.

Manning is overrated, but the Patriots aren't exactly underrated . . . 7 redzone possessions, IIRC, and only 1 TD? Manning had 4 interceptions, and until the last minute, the Patriots only had a 7 point lead? Wasn't their best game, and even though they won, their last two haven't been very reassuring if you're a Patriots fans, like quite a few of my friends are around here (Litchfield County, CT). :-)
