I was just wondering since Brent is from Wisconsin, how he felt about his front-clip being shipped to a port.

Yeah,I've heard the same as well for the other guy. His clip is at the port, but not sure if he has picked it up yet.

I got a phone call today saying that my clip just cleared customs at Long Beach and it will take about a week to get it to Milwaukee so I can pick it up

brents IP is different from flashoptions, ie the are not on the same computer.

I foreget exactly what there name is - transglobal or something. I'll check my papers and post it later. The extra shipping was included in what I paid flashoptions. When they say they will ship to any US port, it will probably be shipped to Long Beach and forwarded to the end location from there.

Yup,Ordered my SR last night from Flash. They've been more than responsive in questions and emails. Now I just gotta wait. I've waited long enough since I pulled and sold my KA over a month and a half ago (read my other postings if interested in selling KA's).

Brent, who cleared your clip with customs? Did you have a broker do it, or did you do it yourself? I see you live in Ill-waukee. You doing the swap yourself? You thinking about hitting up the races? I don't know if I will... Cops are going to be everywhere since that kid in the Supra killed that guy on St. Paul...

I was wrong, the forwarding company is Unicargo Express Inc.They faxed me a freight invoice saying that my clip should arrive 1/27, so I'll be able to pick it up probably the 28th or 29th depending on my work schedule. As long as the clip is for private use and not for resale, you shouldn't need a broker (I didn't need one). Also, I live in wisc. Rapids, WI so Milwaukee is about a 3-4 hr drive.

I'm getting a redtop, I'm not sure of the year or miles, but I will let everyone know when I get it. My clip is coming with dash, gauge cluster and everything so we'll see what the odometer says.

so did brent ever get his motor? I was looking at getting a ca18 front clip, but I'm a little leery still. It's only about 300 less than what daunt is selling his motorsets for, plus I'm close enough to just drive up and get the motor from daunt, but I'm kinda wanting a clip so that I have a point of reference. hmmm.... still undecided.

I'll answer for Brent, I've got a red top in my '89 240. I've also got intake, 2.5 inch exhaust, centerforce clutch, aluminum flywheel, and boost control. I raced a mustang GT w/ 150 shot of nitruous. I was quite pleased when I beat him by about a car length. I was running one bar of boost that night.
