Lowest I'll go is used megans. Which should fall in the 600-700 range depending on the condition and mileage.

This picture was taken directly following the installation of the coilovers. That is to say there had yet to be alignment and further adjustment. The rear end looks higher though because the back tires are larger and again, the coils were not adjusted. I am not concerned if these coils fail, even though I've had them for just shy of a year.

^^ Forgot to mention. Fully adjustable, still had some room for more of a drop, Godspeed Type ss knock-off.

^^ That's like a perfect ride height for the streets. I think mine might be a little higher tho. I'm running 225 17 40 front/ 245 17 40 rear. Oh ands another reason for coils is I want to run a wider tire in the front and back.

Powered By Max competition 1000 dollars, go super low, warranty, and much better than other coilovers. I bought PBM pro for 1568 shipped.

I still like my ksports, after 5 years.. they made it through a curb or two and made it through a collision. And still get me by, daily driven with welded diff and drifted on more times than I can count.
I think I am loosing a shock finally though. At full lock wot I am getting wheel hop but my sfb's are dead.

They came with a manufacturer warranty for 1 year, if they are willing to stand behind them for that long I feel they were worth the 750ish shipped. I managed 5 years as of xmas last year .

You're right. His post is clearly against the rules and deserves a thread lock. I've reported this thread to all the moderators and wrote to my congressman.

From reading your previous posts here on nico i have already realized that debating with you is like punching a brick wall, but regardless the whole cheap coilover debate has been covered over...and over...and over again. The thread that he started a few weeks ago was locked..not because anything was posted was against the rules, its just that dead horse has already been beaten enough.. and if you stay around a little longer you might realize it too... i feel sorry for the "mods and congressman" you embarrased even mentioning in your "awesome" post..

Exactly what mental condition do you suffer from?

If he responded with "my coilovers took a s*** 5,000 miles ago" you'd be singing a different tune, wouldn't you?

If we're not allowed to discuss anything that has already been thoroughly discussed, there wouldn't really be anything to talk about here. This board is 11 years old. Quit being so closed-minded. If you're tired of the content here, then leave. Other people, such as myself, will continue to utilize the information here and enjoy the discussion. I like that we're being given new data about new brands.

Quit spewing inane garbage.

EDIT: Here you got Officer Big Bob. I saved you the hassle of patrolling these boards for the cheap-coilover rebels. Hurry and catch them, they might still be in the What Did You Do To Your 240 Today thread. I've also reported this thread to the mods, local authorities, and the FBI.

Another one of my friends has emusa coilovers on his car roughly like 500$ shiped off ebay and they ride suprisingly nice too.

I like my k-sports in the front, kyb gyx in the rear w/ground control sleeve and eibach springs.
i have the rears for the k sports but i want to order new struts for them before i put them on they are way past blown and real bouncy.

Mercury HG - again..punching brick wall. Obviously topics will be brought up and revived time to time. Apparently you also learned nothing from the past cheap coilover thread that you had so much to contribute in... try reading it again. I think your "open mindness" isnt as open as you think. But im actually comfortable being called "closed minded" when it comes to cheap quality parts, proper engineering/mechanics>price or price>proper engineering/mechanics..hmmm... stop letting your small wallet sway your biased opinions..

Then why don't all old topics get automatically locked if they're so beat to death? Why do people here encourage other people to "search" and find old threads if they're not supposed to use them? You seem to be suffering from a severe case of dain bramage. At the very least cognitive dissonance; you're not making any sense at all. Admit that you're being an ***hole to that guy for baseless reasons, because until that point you're making yourself look very bad.

Mercury HG - You missed the link between revived threads and beating a dead horse. Go ahead and ask the mods that you keep "reporting to" why the last cheap coilover thread was locked....hmmm brick wall

and my "buyers remorse" must be one hell of a compliment, my properly and quality built 315rwhp sr sil80 is something i should actually be proud of, which is rare of the 240 community.. Lets see your s chasis? my "buyers remorse" would make you drool if you saw it in person... whammy :rotfl

Being incomprehensible != being right. Exactly what dead horse are we beating? Specify explicitly, or you're absolutely full of it.
It seems to me you consider the matter permanently closed. That's rather unscientific. The entangled mess that is your mind frightens me.

You're right, you should be proud of your build. How often do you track your car?

I'm still waiting on your apology to supersayianjim for being (what's now obvious) an elitist d!ck.

Mercury HG - The dead horse that is being beaten is the lack of proper engineering and mechanics that are behind these ebay coils, the last cheap coilover thread provided enough info for your "scientific" research  ... provided by Krash i believe.. like i said, read it again and think about why it was closed. some people wont see past the price of a product, high or low, no matter what the quality.. which is killing the industry

and the local track here in st. louis is and has been closed :tisk: so track time has been limited to a once in a rare occasion event in large lots which doesnt always comply with work and being a husband/father

arguing this topic is exhausting enough already, please buy cheap coils.. post your results and take the chance of buying complete garbage that has high potential of failure... i know i wont

My vote for cheap coils is Godspeed I've been on the type rs for well over a year and haven't had a. problem I keep the dampening on full soft and they are not to bouncy . I do not have any experiance with other coils so I can't compare but at my last auto x I had a Guy ride with me who was driving a coupe on zeal coils and he said my car was the first 240 he drove in that felt similar to his in handling. I'm not saying Godspeed is the greatest but for entry level adjustability as well as a "learning set" of coils I like em. I wouldn't turn the dampening past full soft for longevity but I've slammed the car maxed the camber platesand I live on longisland (roads suck) plus driving into manhatten queens and BK on numerous occasions ( roads are even worse ) and that's my input :inoutgay:

I'm glad you guys are happy with your cheap coils. After all that is what matters when it comes down to it. You're the ones who bought them, not me. That being said, any "review" or testament to their "awesomeness" is null and void unless you've owned higher mid-level and higher end coils.

Ignorance is bliss right?
