Well I just sold my 90 Nissan 240sx sohc for 2k and then have been searching for a new sr powered coupe/hatch. Well I found this absolute pristine 240 hatch for pretty cheap. Needs a new clutch and resurface of the flywheel. Minimal rust.

98 SR Type X in a 90 240sx. White, Pwr everything. Lowered. R32 Wheels. 300zx brakes and rotors. I just am flabbergasted (sp?) on how immaculate the interior is. Complete trunk. Complete backseats. Both seats look like they have a months wear. No thread fraying or tears or anything. Just a absolute kickass car. And without further a due, here are the pictures!!

My new policy is to not cut corners. My last car I did and it came out like s***. I'm going to do things right this time, save for quality products, and install everything correctly. This time this car is going to work out great. My To Do List-Get rid of welded diff. Anyone want to trade straight up?-B&M Short Shifter-ECU Kicker Panel needs replacing-New Clutch and resurface the flywheel-Clean up the engine bay wiring

This list keeps going and going. I love my new car, what do you all think?

Update!

No pics as of now but I will be putting them up as work gets done but this is now my new top of the list agenda. -I am putting in a open differential. Going canyon carving with a welded diff gets kinda scary. So tonight I will be putting that in with pictures and s***.

-1 of the 5 turbo outlet studs is broken off so my turbo and elbow pipe are scraping when I boost and air is escaping through there. I will be doing that probably Saturday because I don't enjoy loosing pressure boost haha.

And THEN I just got a 'modified exhaust' ticket in CA and I'm going to fight it. But I am getting a cat and muffler welded in and then getting it smogged. I'll let you all know how it goes tonight.

Couple of pictures. Well when we were disconnecting the exhaust header, 2 or 3 of the studs came out! So we double nutted them back in with some locktite. Hopefully it holds. And to add on to that when we pulled the turbo assembly out and were wrenching out the 4 remaining turbo outlet studs, all 4 broke. So, with the unreplaceable help of my brothers, a machine shop drilled out the broken studs and were replaced. No more boost leaking.

In other news, car is smogged and now in my name and awaiting my court date. I've decided I'm going to go with guilty and just show the judge my receipt for 'exhaust work' and hope she lets me off with no point or fine. I also swapped out the welded diff for a open one. Soooo much better.

New parts on their way. Megan toe rods and upper control rods. Pics of install when I get them. Should be here tomorrow.

HMmm, I havn't been to my own thread in awhile! Fire season is finally winding down and I was able to pay off a s***load of debt and buy a few things. But now I'm moving to the coast and I'm stoked for that!!!

Got the Megan toe and rucas put in. Now I'm sittin flat not running through tires every other month. So this is nice Turbo studs were all fixed is boosting fineI decided to be all go-getter and f***ed up my EBC settings so its running a little off. Working on this!I am working on the fitment of the hood/headlight covers/front bumper but I should have things dialed up pretty soon.My exhaust ticket the judge laughed at but she couldnt avoid the fine but lowered it a bit. The CHP officer was rumored to have had to many complaints and got put on desk duty for like 2 months hahaah. My KTS's are up for sale/tradehttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...ce-orWelded diff switch to open went well. Still working good.Bought ISIS Shortshifter rather than B&M. I had B&M before and it rattled too so I wanted to test it out. It works good but there is the rattle that can be fixed by a new bushing so I'm going to get that done.

I just felt like I needed to update.I'm looking for a front lip and sideskirts if anyone has any to sell.I will be taking some pictures of the car soon to re-up on my pic whoring.

Yah CA sucks at times, but its not everywhere. It just depends on the cop and the area and the offense+situation. If you're respectful they'll treat ya good. If your being a little punk b**** to them they'll f*** you with the long sand covered no lubed c*** of the law lol.

I'm gonna whore some pictures out soon. I just want to get some new coils and lip/skirts/rear valences and I'll be happy with looks for awhile.

CT is actually pretty cool because your car just has to TAKE the smog test to get registered, not pass it.

that's true, but iirc, they won't renew your registration if you continue to fail.

Yes I know what you mean. My car is covered in tree debri! First rain of the season and it hit like 2-3 inches up here. Next couple of days I should be able to take it out and get some semi-decent quality pictures.

Going to be slow updates from here on out. But moving to the coast is WELL worth it. I won't have to spend money on tows and all the s***ty days of snow driving. Yuck.

WELL UPDATE TIME

Kinda.. So, I fight fire in the summer and fire seasons coming up. Just got, in my eye, a promotion to a hotshot crew and will be making some GOOD money this summer. In the next 2-3 months, coilovers, vsld, and aero. Then at the end of the summer rebuild and upgrade the sr. But for right now I Just got a few photos of updates.

Heres the car from about 3 weeks ago

Well my car sounded like a POS for like a month cause I got lazy and didn't give a f***. And it just got so annoying I broke down and brok the cars front end apart. Bunch of missing bolts and half tightened s*** is what I found. And then my turbo elbow cracked. f***ing megan. Came with the car. Second time rewelding. Then my front rotors warped so I got some new pads and rotorsHeres how they look behind the wheels.

This is my buddys 300zx that got rear ended about a month ago

Well just giving a little update. Hopefully a new front lip too in like 2 weeks too. So my build thread will be revived this pretty soon. Stick around!

not trying to sound like an a**...just the mention of a cracked megan downpipe made me wonder. If you say you're saving for "high quality" parts, then buying megan/isis........what were you buying before?

Sorry for lack of response, but yes the megan came with the car. I spent a lot of money this last summer paying off debt and what not and now this summer will be to dumb into the car. I will be upgrading probably full exhaust also when I do the motor build. And new greddy intake. I got a lot of plans. I just got to get into shape for this s*** haha.

Yaaaay FIRE SEASON IS HEEERREEEEE. Well, not in northern california but in other places! Got on a IHC hotshot crew so I will be available all over the nation for fire or even relief efforts. Anywhoo, here is my parts list. It's in the developmental stage so I'm open to opinions and any part reminders! This is what will be ordered in the next couple of months depending on how quickly I can also pay off my debt.

First off, I'm getting my engine rebuilt so I know its 100% for any drift events I can manage to get in. And it's burning oil and rather than spend money trying to figure out why, I'm just going to rebuild! Now the list.
  • OEM Full Engine Gasket Set for Nissan SR20DET
*ISIS Radiator Cooling Package - Nissan SR20DET
Circuit Sports 3" Stainless Flex Downpipe : SR20DET (RWD)
*ISIS SR20DET Turbo Lines - Bottom Mount
    Greddy Full Auto Turbo Timer
    *ISIS 3" Stainless Turbo Elbow : SR20DET
Complete Belt Set for Nissan SR20DET
    OEM S15 SR20DET Turbocharger
OEM Water Pump - Nissan SR20DET
Suspension Techniques Front and Rear Sway Bar Set Nissan 240sx
Circuit Sports Magnetic Oil Drain Plug - Nissan/Toyota
    OEM Clutch master assembly
    S14 SR20DET Injectors
    New Coilovers (I NEED INPUT)!!

Eventually: Front Lip, Skirts, 180sx rear valences, 180 tails, Throw my welded diff back into the car!
And all this will be attained in for under $4,000! :woot:

I need some advice on coils. I'm going to be driving this as a daily more often than going out to events and attempting to drift, so I'm figuring 8k/6k spring rates. Any opinion on those and if they can withstand drifting sessions?
I know this ain't a real update but I need some feedback and advice! Thanks

I don't see any items on that list that are going to fix your 'oil burning' problem other than the possibility of the turbo. Might wanna look into rings and valveseats, if the turbo doesn't help.

Car looks great though!
