Title on the Youtube clip is "2500 HP !!" With nothing mentioned about a VQ30de. I dont know one VQ35de with a bolt on turbo that would make that kinda power.

I did know what the thread was about, but funnily enough, sometimes whats in a thread is not always soully related to the title of a thread it's posted in.

Okay. I think I got all this stuff figured out. If these pictures show up, I might poop myself.

Sand Blasting Experts and Fusion Powder Coatings out of Chesapeake Va. performed the work on these calipers. The powder is candy apple red. This is the look I hope to achieve providing the 15mm spacers allow the q45 wheel to clear the front brakes. Not sure how to turn pictures just yet (if possible) but here's the center console all together with the powder coated shift knob, custom shift boot, and drift button. don't bother just get like a 120 -AN bend fitting and you'll be fine, or a 90 fitting would be fine too. shoot, just call up the guys that made your clutch line, and have them put a 90 fitting at the end instead of straight out like it is.

and honestly I HIGHLY doubt your going to be as slammed as most the cali cars so really as long as the line doesnt dangle, your shouldn't have an issue...

but still i'd get a 90 digree fitting. Make sure it's a swivel fitting too!

but this is it

http://enjukuracing.com/images...l.jpg

don't have a pic of it on connected since my motor isn't in the car ATM.

can be purchased here

So much done and so much more to do for sure. Project looks good...can't wait to see and hear it run. I started a thread in the Hybrid section of my piece.

Front brakes on but can't seem to find the proper rotors. These are junk yard pieces that are way too thin,Car on the ground. looks okay but needs to go lower. Not bad for free suspension however. There she is, in all her glory. Wow! The pic. leads you to believe it sets as high as a damn jeep. I suck a pics but maybe Gadget can chime in about some 8 year old who can teach me about perspective angle and back lighting. Hahaha. Thanks for the positive feedback y'all.

Great progress pics mate!

Nah, you seem to only need the 8 yo to get them to rotate the pic for you :p

Brakes look tiny with those rims... assume they're 18's? i'm loving the candy paint work!

The additional bracing at the radiator support looks the goods, but i'm just wondering it's purpose? I thought that end of the car was ridged enough for what it needs to do? Or is it because ur running a larger sway bar?

hoping your not thinking you'll need it with nudging stuff :s

Well i am hoping the reason you were strenghtening the radiator support was not because you plan on nudging stuff with the front of the car and needed the front to handle the potential impacts :p

I'm one of the many sh*t stirrer's around, but i do mean it in the lightest of light hearted comments.

I've discovered they stiffen up the caster rod supports, as a result give more accurate and consistant geometry under varying load.

Seems like a good enough excuse to make one up to me! :p

Keep the good work flowing bud.

I shrink of my car... S12 Gazelle (200sx over there)

It's sporting a CA18det +S13 auto with a stage 2 shift kit. Usual power mods, good little streeter.

The project S12 is a VQ30det+t which is why i'm here as we never got the engine here in Aus.

My new plan cut out the clutch dampener. Since the SS line was long enough and I was just a quick conversion piece away, i figured what the hell. Pedal feels alot better now too. Never changed the clearance however. Custom made 3inch intake by carmo. Courtesy of Vibrantperformance parts I received through Boostfed in N.C.And perhaps a taste of things to come.I'm thinking remote located, single turbo set-up with maybe 7 or 8 psi

I cant remember the name of the company but they designed a turbo kit, that mounts in the back of the car....You saying remote setup made me think of that, but nice car!

CARMO....

Wicked build man. I really like the LMGT4's. Nismo priced themselves out of the market with those wheels, which was a shame, because they look and perform incredibly well!

STS TURBOS....that's the name of the rear mounted turbo system you all have been referring to. I have witnessed these kits produce over 600 HP on 350Z's. The kit is very good and is extremely efficient. They reduce the size of the turbine and force the cooler exhaust through a smaller opening to creat the RPM's needed for such a large volume of boost (from the muffler area to the throttle body). The compresser is extremely efficient and very large in relevance to the output. In all, very good setup. Much cooler in operation, hidden for that "what the ****" response, and very reliable.

Back to this swap. Stupid nice, and I mean, crazy! I wish my swap could be this clean. I just don't have the time. I hope one day in the future all of us VQ swap guys can get together, somewhere in the country, and just see each others work. I'd really like a close up look at this one! Good job!

CAMRO -

One more thing to add. I noticed in your shifter picture that there is no insulator between the shifter trim (boot) and the body of the car. I can see the boot from the hole in the floor (underneath).

I was driving this way as well for a few days. You and I both know how noisy the CD00# transmission is. I mean, it is one horrible sounding transmission. Even the better ones are just loud.

I used a vent flashing piece from lowes to fix this. I know you can find it in the roofing section. Its like a rectangle with a cone sticking out of the middle. It has multiple ribs which get smaller in diameter until it reaches about a 4" opening on top. The top is flat and has several circles grooved into the rubber, that can be cut out, to match whatever size pipe is sticking out of a roof. Its a little stiff at first, but after a few weeks, it acts just like a regular shifter insulator. The portion that mounts to a roof (or to the flor of your car) has a thin rectangle of steel glued to it. This helps in contouring the boot to the trans tunnel. I used sheet metal screwes to secure it to the body of my car (coated them with undercaoting from the bottom).

It is definately rubber, it looks like a cone and has a rectangle base. You'll see it. Hope that helps!

Oh, it also gets pretty drafty and lets in alot of exhaust fumes sucked under the car from the muffle when driving about 25-35 miles an hour.

Later
