had a similar problem, turned out that the sock on the fuel pump was clogged "fuel starvation". changed fuel filter too. corrected the issue I was having.

thats good to hear dude, as of right now my car runs excellent now just waiting for spec to send me another clutch so then ill replace my rear main seal while i have everything tooken apart. since im still leaking oil >_<. but i found out where my anti freeze was leaking from, firewall hoses. just couldnt tell since the engine heat kept drying the anti freeze so it didnt look like it was even coming from there

when i had my hatch i didnt feel unique cuz there are a ton of stockers around. but i was unique when i first got my coupe. now a year later in the same area i know of 7 coupes that are all modified & there are 5 or so sil40's. its inevitable, this car is just too much fun to drive

i had this same issue with my 89.do you have the cat still on the exhaust?i went to the muffler shop this weekend and got a new exhaust put on and the guy said the cat was clogged,really bad!!! now it redlines and is alot funner to drive.check that out maybe thats your problem!

for me it was not checking a huge 1.5" hole on the intercooler piping i forgot to check haha

Also, something that I forgot, someone had a clogged cat that caused this.
