I've only had it on the car for 2 weeks... so I'm not a good source to answer that question... but the first time I started the car it seemed louder than in is now. I'm sure it's just because I'm getting used to it.... but it isn't loud at all. That is one of the points that sold me on the N1 dual... it doesn't sound like a bee in a tin can... and it's not loud enough to get me pulled over. I personally HATE the sound of after-market exhausts.... and I don't even care for the sound of the n1 dual.... but it's much more tame than some of the alternatives. It acts, looks, and sounds like a "purpose built" exhaust... it's not flashy and chrome, and it's not very loud. In my mind that is the best combination you can get.
I must admit... I get a little moist in the trousers when I turn over the engine.. it really sounds like a deep grumbly v8 under the hood. It's a nice sound first thing in the morning, to hear HP, and then FEEL it!
