from what I've heard..it will be good for about 5,000 - 10,000 miles and then it will sound/perform like $hit... but that is just what I've heard... don't know if it is true

since we are on the yik yak bout exhaust, mine sounds like a rusty schoolbell and is real embarrasing. what a good muffler to weld on (only for the time being) to make it sound deep and low and have some sex appeal.

The only thing that's going to give your car sex appeal.... is ME in the driver's seat! If you're going for a cheap temporary muffler... go to Ebay and find a generic one for about $20... They ALL sound like Hondas at that point... so deep and sexy is something that you'll have to ask Dees about.

Good exhaust... but usually they are for turbo applications... and the N1 has the straightest pipes. I believe (but could be wrong) the GT spec has 3" pipes. From what I have read, and what the shop owner convinced me of, the N1 and N1 dual are the best choice Apexi has for a N/A 240sx, and they are both excellent for a turbo as well.

Tino, you're lucky it was two notches below the belt and not somewhere else...its not like I could do any damage down there...

of the couple people posting that they have the n1 dual, have you guys noticed that they get progressively louder or are they in the 400-500 dollar range for a reason?

I know reactive mufflers suck, but what about revolution mufflers. the guys selling them online say they are jspec goods, but are they and do they sound good. They look semi-cool, half S.S. and half carbon.

I've only had it on the car for 2 weeks... so I'm not a good source to answer that question... but the first time I started the car it seemed louder than in is now. I'm sure it's just because I'm getting used to it.... but it isn't loud at all. That is one of the points that sold me on the N1 dual... it doesn't sound like a bee in a tin can... and it's not loud enough to get me pulled over. I personally HATE the sound of after-market exhausts.... and I don't even care for the sound of the n1 dual.... but it's much more tame than some of the alternatives. It acts, looks, and sounds like a "purpose built" exhaust... it's not flashy and chrome, and it's not very loud. In my mind that is the best combination you can get.

I must admit... I get a little moist in the trousers when I turn over the engine.. it really sounds like a deep grumbly v8 under the hood. It's a nice sound first thing in the morning, to hear HP, and then FEEL it!

For what its worth: Back when i had my 89 240SX, i had an Apex-i N1 Single exhuast. It sounded very nice, but was on the loud side.

If you are going to go the turbo route later on in the cars life, I think it( the N1 single) would be a better choice than the N1 Dual, and the N1 Dual just adds weight at that point.Tyler
