People playing the game with me know's that I have BALLS But I really just don't see the point to prestige........I ask myself why? For a pointless new badge to show what? After working so hard to reach your peak why the heck would anybody want to do it all over again? It really proves nothing other than just a new badge.......It seems more rare just to have the normal badge. Never had the temptation to do it on cod4, that won't change. More power to the people who do

That is a very good point.......it just doesn't make sense to me why you would want to backtrack yourself to PROVE something, it already has been proved moving up to the highest rank. I'm a type of player that wants to win having fun at the same time which I cannot see with the prestige, seems it would fluster me very much to get back where I was. I'm not sure about anybody else......but winning does not get old........keeping your ratios high does not get old..........prestige in my eyes would.

u also make a good point.. about the kill ratio and everything. yeah i already prestige ones and it sucked i went from killing everybody to sucking badly but also by doing the prestige u also get more point because u have to beet all the guns again and u also go up faster in the ranks because your getting more points yeah your kill ratio might go down but your overall rank could go up faster

Spoken like a true gamer!I agree 1000 times. People who prestige for the sake of recognition pi** me off. You arent a better player because you have a huge score or the 10th prestige level

I like having my gold weapons (allthough I dont use any gun camos what so ever), my sights and perks so going back to the beggining is ghey.The only stat that matters in COD is K/D Ratio

I always prestiged in COD4 because I enjoyed having to do the challenges again - some of which were crazy (the ones in Eliete, like the "How the ?" one...) I always love seeing the +1000 xp thing pop up on the screen...other than that I hated losing my attachments and guns. I wish you could prestige but keep that stuff, and just get to redo the challenges...

you guys are crazy. I love Prestiging (?) into the next level. I love when I rape everyone in a match and they can all see that I'm at a low level and have no good guns/sights/perks. seriously all I need is an M16, stopping power, and extreme conditioning and it's all gravy. it's really exciting doing all the challenges, unlocking the different guns/perks all over again, and trying new combinations of weapons/perks. think of it like completely fixing up a 240, selling it, then getting another completely stock 240 and being able to fix it up all over again from scratch, and try out different combinations of suspension, wheels, bodykits, etc.

I think maybe you guys hate it so much because all you guys ever play is freaking Hardcore () so you like the advantage of having good guns/perks.

on another note, another reason why I like CoD5 over CoD4 is because there is no Cage Match mode, so people can't level up super fast by doing that "Headshot x3" bullsh*t. oh yeah, and I'm glad they took out the Accuracy stat, because it was completely pointless to have that information. it's impossible to have a good accuracy percentage if you always use a full-auto.

I bought COD5 last night for PC. I think I need to play the single player mode for a bit to figure out what the hell is going on. Dogs come out no where and attack me. wtf What gun is the "dog gun?" I want that gun.Theres tanks but I have no idea how to blow them up.

I never played COD4. I don't know why I never bought, just for some reason never did.

One thing I HAAAAAATE. Fawlking haaaaaaaaaate (there's not enough space for all the a's I want to put in the word hate right now, thats how much I hate it). I hate the stupid leveling and reward system or whatever.

Why cant I just start out and pick what guns I want to use? I dont know why people these days need freakin rewards to enjoy a game. Why they need special tags (that prestige level or w/e) to show how good they are? Or special looking guns?

I don't need the game to pat me on the back and tell me "good job" like I'm a 3rd grader learning division. My reward is pressing tab and seeing:OttermaticRifle: 50-0

I like COD1 and 2 when you just pick a class and use their guns. Everyones on a level playing field.

Can anyone link me a site that tells you all the ranks and benifits of the ranks. And what you got to do to unlock on the guns.

http://www.callofduty.com should be a good start for ya. You can enlist and they have plenty of information that you seek, but it's simple..........the rank system is how you unlock perks, weapons, challenges, prestige........and so on. I find knifing the dogs are the best tactic or shooting from a safe distance with an automatic weapon. So higher the rank...........the more you unlock. They have preset weapon classes as well.........but they normally suck bawls. But like the military having ranks to show accomplishment...........it's reflected on the cod series, but +1 for your feelings on the prestige. Happy hunting!!

I felt the call of duty 4 hardcore TDM was pretty good..........but now have been playing it on the world at war and man is it alot of fun. Less bs. Part 4 was good but feel the w.a.w. is excellent in that HCTDM.

unlocked the PPSh last night.. this gun is seriously better than any gun in COD4 OR COD5. I completed the Marksman 1 challenge and half of the Marksman II challenge after my first match with it hahah

The PPSh is a deadly weapon of choice but I find it to run out of ammo way to fast for me. The best set up for me has been stg-44 with overkill, carbine with a bayonet is secondary, extreme conditioning, faster turret reload for tank, and a good ole' flamethrower for good measure . One man army.

I have made all my classes but just have stuck with one............you know what I really miss in the cod w.a.w. game mode? old school, that really helped me complete alot of the weapon challenges.....it was fun as hell.

To advance deeper into the zombie mode you need 4 people who have a clue to what your gameplan is. Hold down the help room at all cost with all four in the room at all times.........4 ray guns, 2 flamethrowers, 2 mg's, have your strongest player at the door. 2 others holding the wall and windows down.........1 backing up both parties as needed. Open nothing but the help door. Save the last zombie to buy time.........helps with repair and most importantly........weapons!! Good help is hard to find though I understand, hit me up if you need a hand.

i'm down for some zombies. every time you've invited my one of my friends has been over, and he doesnt like playing in parties cus it slows him down next time you invite message me first, cus i'm usually in a game when i get it
