You, the people that live in California, should be happy as hell b/c I've been noticing that everything takes place there. D1 and upcoming JGTC!!! I love both!!!! I live in Atlanta, pretty bigass city yet nothing!!NADA!! Drift meets are in Cali too. Seems like they have drift meets every week. I love to drift my car but can't do it anywhere except on the street or boring parking lot..sigh. I'mjust posting this entire crap just to tell the people that live in California one thing. LUCKY BASTARDS!!!!

yeah i know what you are talking about ragingpanda. atlanta sucks for drifting. all georgia roads suck, the potholes are big enough to swallow your car here.

I don't envy CA at all. I don't get pulled over and fined for a shiny muffler and I really hate drifting(gasp). Sure there are more auto events out there, but I don't need anymore than SCCA autocross.

in the new import tuner they talk about how west coast as a big import scene. and they also said how behind we(east coast) are behind in styling. If new york was close to japan and had alot of long straight roads and more tracks we would be gettin alot more attention

Despite all the crap we have to put up with here, no matter where I go in life, I'll always come back to Santa Cruz. Nowhere in the world like it.

haha its funny to hear what people from other states say about CA. there really isn't much for drifting up here in nor cal. sure theres the nor cal drift academy but the tracks they use to drift are always so far. and i'm dead tired after a day of drifting then to drive home like 2 hours from the track = a long day. the closest track to me is infineon raceway but theres not much for drifting. lucky so cal people

Nor Cal is a *****. The closest tracks to me are Infineon and Leguna Seca and they are both an hour or two away. Although I live pretty much 5 minutes away from the Altamont Raceway that NCDA is using, that's pretty cool. But smog here ****ing sucks. My dad even owns a smog shop and it's still a *****. Trust me, it's not all sunshine and daisys here.

I live in Ukiah and spent the last week at Sea Ranch. It's a little place on the coast where you rent out houses and such. The best part? The ride over. Highway One is such an awesome rode to drive on! Although I wasn't the one driving, I went my with my brother in his turbo MR2.
