Does anyone sell cages that are pre bent that you can weld in yourself?

I want to weld in my own cage but I can't bend the pipes or anything, does anyone sell legit(like d1 style) cages? with door bars and such.. thanks.

Look for AutoPower.

They make a whole bunch of different cages, ranging from basic roll bars, all the way up to full F.I.A. spec. saftey cages.

They are actually pretty inexpensive. I actually thought about taking that route for my rally car, but decided against it for a few reasons.

do you trust your welds with your life? if not id recommend a well known cage builder.. and id recommend building your cage to SCCA general competition rules, because then youd be able to compete in pretty much any races except rally america and some drag races.

http://www.scca.com/documents/...e.pdf

cages are in appendix G

WTF are you talking about? I have 2 different welders, that does not automatically mean I have a tube bender. Welders are only used for building cages.

Also, those benders aren't cheap! And don't even say "get a harbor freight one" because that is NOT a tube bender, it is a PIPE bender.

Get an SW cage. They are great value.

Remember that if SCCA rules say you need a cross member here or there, those are all straight pieces that you'll just have to notch. The main hoop, the roof hoop, and the A pillar bars are the most important parts of the kit (since they are the ones bent to shape) and the SW cage accomplishes this nicely.

If you need more tubing, call your local metal supply place for any regulation required extras.

Or you can get a bolt on cage if you are a n00b with a deathwish and a lot of moneys.

But I dont like this part in the description of the SW cages on enjuku:,(More for shows, most likely will not pass any sort of motorsports tech.)

That's the type of tubing, they sell really cheap cages for what 250 bucks? Those are the lookalike cages pretty much.

Nobody better say anything about it being an ebay special and it is not good quality because it is from ebay. This cage has passed tech at my local road track and passes the 10.01 to 10.99 e.t requirements at the drag strip. It fit perfectly with all the right notches and bends in the right places. It was tig welded in and the only thing I changed was the mounting location of the rear bars. They originally went to the rear below the taillights, but I wanted to beef up the rear towers. Plus my nitrous bottle and battery were already back there. This kit can also come as a 10 point, but I am not sure if it is a over or under dash design.

How so, quality? Or Location?

I am 6'4" and oddly enough the bar makes a good elbow rest. It is at the lowest point I could have it intersect my shoulder to elbow zone to be NHRA legal. I don't drift, but I road and drag race and I have not even hit my elbow on it once, even when doing donuts or sliding sideways in a closed industrial park.

The reason I added this to the list for the OP was because it is a tech friendly, affordable weld in kit like he wanted. He could always modify the mounting location of the door bar that qualifies for what he wants to do.
