you have the KA24DE engine in your car. It is the better of the two USDM s13 enginesJulianSPAM wrote:
so on top of the engine is say twin cam 16 valve. what does that mean? and is that what my engine is called?

oh ok ill be sure to check. and oh dang, my fault, i meant wiped hahahaatroskinatior wrote:The engine has 4 cylinders and 4 valves per each cylinder. check out the 240 technical page to get some info and ideas.
And what do you mean "I whipped my engine down"?
haha really, good luck man!KoreanRice wrote:Oh man, giving me some hope man. I'm getting a 240sx also and your car is nice and clean; I like to see more of us young people's cars.

Strut bars were one of the last things I bought, and mainly because people would say, "Dude no strut bars?!"JulianSPAM wrote:**** Im planning on buying that cheap $25.50 ebay strut bar, i guess for looks for now. I wont feel a difference wont I?
haha, i think itd make it look cool, im sure i wont feel a difference. but 25 bucks isnt so much haha. and i just got a oil change heheEnjoiNismo wrote:

You really don't feel a difference, I'd spend that extra money toward something else.I'd take a oil change over a low-end strut bar.
woah, youre definately right man. ill save money, or find someone thats more needed to be spended on. ill be sure to check your car out. thanks for your info it helps!speedeast wrote:The $25 ebay strut bar will be 1st) a waste of $25, 2nd) a waste of time, and 3) completely useless. It will do nothing for you. If you want to do things for looks... practicality and professional engineering look good. Save the $25 and spend it elsewhere. You don't have to have a strut bar to look good. My car doesn't even have a strut bar yet.
There are a lot of people out there that want to make things different so bad that they will spend what little they have to buy useless pieces of **** that will do nothing more than make the car look like garbage. You're not that person; please don't be that person. Say, for example, you had $25 this week you could spend on the car... Next week and the week after you could have $25 each as well. You could buy 3 little bits of nothing that do nothing and look like crap, or spend $75 collected on something much more worth the investment.
Don't read this and cry thinking I'm flaming you or anything like that, I'm just trying to mold you into the kind of teenage driver that the rest of us don't have to look at and transition immediately into facepalm.
That is a great looking car. I'm jealous that you're starting with something so clean and original. Go to the build thread in my signature and look what I started with, LMAO.
Get a job, even if it's just a small, low-paying job. You will probably have the same attitude I had when I was your age: "if I don't do it now, I never will." That's not true. I'm 23-years-old. I love my car and what I am capable of doing with it because I waited. Besides, you need to focus on learning about your car and the trade before digging too deep. Keep in mind, a clean stock car looks a lot better than a half-a** anything...
I'll keep an eye on your thread; your car has major potential.
hahahahaaha ill be sure toFunano wrote:Looks clean. Keep us posted on your next air freshener change lol
