There are several little nuts on the inside of the car behind the taillights that hold it in. If you have trim there, that will need to go. I can't remember how many there are, but here is the only picture I could find. The nuts look like the two in the bottom half of this picture: I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure you have to remove the garnish piece to get the taillights out. Good luck. I couldn't find a DIY.JulianSPAM wrote:ok so im pretty sure ill be taking my tail lights to the shop and have them be smoked out/tinted. but im sooooo confused, i cant seem to figure out how to take them out! can someone provide me a link on how to take them out please

oh crap! i have to seal them back on?! what is the sealant called?speedeast wrote:But be warned... there is some pretty nasty icky sticky s*** on the back side of the taillights that create a watertight seal. Just make sure you clean 'em off and seal it back up when you put them back on the car or it'll leak something awful! Good luck.
Yeah, you could do that. Also, you could go to a Nissan dealership and ask for like 3 feet of the stuff you need. They've always had it in stock when I've needed it.TJG wrote:i used 3m strip caulk. it worked great
