yes, it's a size for fittings and hose.Blown240sx wrote:I know what AN line is but -10? Is that a size? and if so I would say a 6AN would do it.
It's SS covered rubber hose, much like SS brake lines. They should know if Napa sells it (can't remember), but -6 AN is too small. Use the -10 and get a small piece to make sure it fits properly before buying too much of it.idahotuner wrote:isit just a stainless steel line or is it rubber? i cna go to like napa and tell them i want An6 and they know what i am talking about cause i dont lol.

negative. Put the can in between the block and the T like the factory can is. A good place to locate the can to keep lines short is over by the clutch master cylinder (if your can will fit that is)idahotuner wrote:...and i will put it inbetween the intake and the T ....
I wouldnt have told you to do it if I didnt know for sure that it would work.idahotuner wrote:sweet so -10 An Line will work. that is good news.
There's about 1 post a day about this. The consensus is that stock catch can position is best. If I understand correctly it's because the only time oil will come out of the T is during vacuum, in which case it will get sucked away from the intake into the block. Hopefully someone can verify that cuz I'm not 100% sure.idahotuner wrote:ok one more question about this, i know the stock catch can goes between the block and the head, but if i put it on the other side of the T then it would keep stuff from getting into my intake, which doesnt seems liek it could be good.
zip ties and self tapping screws FTWidahotuner wrote:yea that makes since. i just have to figure out how to mount it lol. will do

Ok, I always see different ways to hook up aftermarket catchcans...what is the proper way? Remover the stock one also? Im assuming thats what that black box thing is in this picture?SideWays=smiles wrote:I have -10 line going to my factory can, and some random hose going to my intake, it hasnt melted yet.
The black box is the factory catch can, if you are putting in an aftermarket can, remove the factory can and put the new one in its place. The only real benefit of the aftermarket one is that it does not dump the oil back into the crankcase, it holds it in the can until you drain it manually, therefore keeping your oil cleanernwmrkt wrote:Ok, I always see different ways to hook up aftermarket catchcans...what is the proper way?
