Mine doesn't go in the negatives or maybe I'm doing something wrong lol. I'm still playing with it, will probably figure it out soon.Irvxing wrote:You can adjust the Sub level on that H/U i have mine a -3
Also you can set the High pass filter up so the speaker only plays the highs and mids.
You can do the same for the sub. I suggest you keep it at a Low Hertxz for the sub.
Door speakers are 6.5's
Rear deck is 6x9's
Yeaah I'm not going for DJ status like he said lol. Might look into alpine/pioneer speakers then, and thanks for the heads up!Irvxing wrote:I'm biased. So Kicker=no bueno.
And forgot to mention the fronts should be component speakers.
I'm using a JBL GTO in the rear and i really liked them. I need to replace them soon. so quality is so so.
Fronts im using Boston Acoustics components. Dont remember which but they were around 400 bucks
I lol'dcoderedk wrote:(sorry for threadjacking)
Huh? My system really isnt special at all speaker wise. In fact, I went with 3 way Kicker component speakers because I got them dirt cheap when I used to work at Best Buy part time. Obviously in a different situation I would have gone a different route, but at the time it was the best option for what I could afford.SanoSuKe wrote:Yeaah I'm not going for DJ status like he said lol.
By DJ status I meant something very loud/expensive lol. Not my fault you have "DJ" in your name!DJ_B_Easy wrote:Huh? My system really isnt special at all speaker wise. Are you going to amp the components or just run them off the increased power from the new headunit?
I dunno if Alpine is overpriced or it's really that good lol. I've searched a couple of audio forums and I don't see anyone talking about Alpine systems. Makes me don't want to buy it, but at the same time it's one of the biggest names out thereAlexN09 wrote:I used to have infinity kappas in the back doors of my old sedan but they were far too harsh after a long period of loud volumes. I went with alpine type r's in the front doors and the silk tweeters mounted up high sounded great all day.
Don't TEASEAlexN09 wrote:I'm going with a slightly different door setup that I think will really blow most things outta the water for the price.

Please share, its selfish not to.
^This. (but dont but anything from Crutchfield, they are stupid expensive)Irvxing wrote:"audio pros" frown upon kicker, infinity, and alpine or most major name brands.
They usually dont settle for audio equipment you can buy at Best Buy .
look up reviews online or at Crutchfield.
I can assure you anything you decide to upgrade to will be sufficient.
^And this.AlexN09 wrote:No it's not really that good but it's a huge upgrade over stock equipment and you can get some good clean signals and loud volumes without distortion.
Looks like we got ourselves a Pioneer Fan Boy, boys.SanoSuKe wrote:okay after searching reviews and comparing speakers I've decided to go with these:
