I picked up some LED bulbs for my reverse and tag lights..

The tag lights are super bright.. but they look a lil too blue IMO.. I dont want my car looking like a teenagers car.. haha

The reverse lights are bright.. but have too much of a blue hue..

I ordered them from DDM tuning..

Anyone have specific ones they ordered, that are great for both? I bothered with the tag light because it looks nicer on porsche's and bmw etc with the bright white LED tag lights..

I may as well go ahead and ask what you have done for other lights too (not interior... I hate LED in interior)

I am looking for specific blubs and places you ordered/Partnumber or links etc..

Thanks for your help!

have used superbrightleds.com--quality ok but fairly cheap

many members have used vleds.com (i have bulbs from them in my parking lights--can't recommend them enough. Had one burn out only a few weeks after i got it, they sent a replacement ASAP and haven't had an issue with them since) don't remember which bulbs specifically since it has been a while, but will look to see if i wrote which ones i used down somewhere

I believe Larz has used the Tritons (excellent write-up btw) which are realllllly nice looking, but quite pricey.

You're right, sir. I used the Vled Triton series for the rear turn signals at the suggestion of Moedog. No other LED brand or style seemed to be bright enough in direct sunlight. In fact, ALL of my bubls are now Vled bulbs. I like that the website rates the brightness of each of the bulbs so you can be sure you get what you want. The prices (aside from the Triton series) are very reasonable and they ship quickly.
One tip about buying from them - even if the site lists the bulb as 'back-ordered', buy it anyway. They have trouble keeping bulbs on the shelf but they get bulbs in daily, so even if it says back-order with a wait period, buy them and you should have them in your mailbox well before that date.
I think some of the upgrades I did are listed in the FAQ system with pics and a DIY.

Check out this thread for the ones I used in my Q, and my wife's G. I think they look very white... I assume your M has a similar setup. I haven't gotten to the reverse lights yet.

Nice thank you guys!

Here is the one I had in my tag lights..

they are super bright.. but I think I am going to use some opaque packaging tape to diffuse it a bit.. because from a distance.. they are so bright.. you cant even read the tag.. lol

I used the same ones in my parking lights (in the high beam housing) and they match my factory HIDs perfectlly..

I guess i'm fairly happy with these or can deal with them.. def going to look into the triton series though!

Thanks guys!

The VLEDs V3 Tritons currently do not have a 194/921 adapter, thus can only be used for rear or front turn signals or front switchbacks only (I'll be creating a HowTo and review of my installed V3 Triton 5K switchbacks soon). These are pricey, but worth the money in my honest opinion. Nothing in the market currently comes close to the quality of these lights.

I use these lights from vleds.com: 5K WHITE HIGH POWER LICENSE PLATE MAP PARKING LED BULBS http://www.vleds.com/bulb/921-led/5k-wh ... -pair.html They have that luxury look and is definitely not too bright - no need to use opaque packaging tape on the diffusers either.

As for backup lights, I use the VLEDs 19 LED 5K High Power Bulbs, but I purchased these a few years ago, and VLEDs have since replaced the 19 LED Bulbs to the more than likely brighter 15 LED 5K WHITE 15 LED HIGH POWER BULBS http://www.vleds.com/bulb/921-led/5k-wh ... -pair.html I only say that the 15 LED version is brighter because these bulbs come with a warning to not keep them on for too long - mine did not come with such a warning! If you get these license plate and backup lights, I'm sure you'll be more than happy with the output and light.
