BRM has a real nice dual tip cat back exhaust system for the S13's. It is nicely priced and I would get it over Apexi (mostly b/c it is a better price and seems to show the same gains as Apexi claims...)

There is a sticky post on here that has all the info...

BRM's exhaust are really nice for the price, his s14 exhaust came out a week after I got my Apexi Gt spec:( The apexi duals seem to be a really popular with 240 owners, i kinda like them but i'm kinda partial to a single larger muffler. Also you were asking what was the best catback, thats a pretty broad question, so do you planning on staying N/A, going ka-t, Sr cause each setup will act differently to different diameter piping, like me putting a 3 3/4inch exhaust on my N/A:) Love the deep low rumble but i'm sure its got to be killing performance just alil bit, can't wait to go ka-t.

try the border III or the pro-racer III. Both 5zigens, I've got the pro-racer and it's damn good. The border III is very quiet.

The DD's are discontinued now, they might be hard to find. Dunno about the Apexi exhausts because of their quality control on their exhausts seem to be a little below par. Maybe it's just because of the volume of exhausts that we hear about the apexi's coming apart at the welds and stuff, dunno but I wouldn't gamble my money on that. The Nur's are awesome exhausts too, just a bit loud for some peoples tastes. Personally I think it's not too loud with a very deep rumble. Ranks up there with some of the best I've seen.

I've heard both the Nur Spec and an Uras race exhaust on a SR. The Nur is LOUD, but the URAS is unbearable. I am really considering getting a single tip BRM catback. I just like the old school appeal of an oval canister.

I ran a N1 single on my RX-7. Quality was very nice.

We have tested the HKS, the Blitz, the Apexi, the Uras, 5Zigen....all we wanted was to produce the SAME power as the highest hp-gainer, while retaining a nice sound. IMO, the system we have built sounds better than any of the ones listed.

However, if you want irrelevant things like Ti tips, dual canisters, low-hanging or angled mufflers, carbon-fiber inserts, the "fartcan" sound, etc., look elsewhere.

For the money, I'd put the BRM system up against ANY of these for sound quality and HP gains. Period.

We have a standing challenge with the editors of SCC - Since they did the article on our Spec-V system, we've been asking for another "exhaust shootout". No one's stepping up, guess they'd hate to see our little company punk them out on a national stage.

Costs are reasonable, S14 systems start at $330.

And thats why I ordered my BRM exhaust. Dam* it, I'm so excited, I WANT IT NOW!!! lol It sounds good and has good hp gains, and comes with a nice price tag to boot.

The New Dual Tip: (My favorite because of the stock appearance and *gasp* it doesn't look like a freaking Folger's can *cough* Apex'i)

Just say no to fart cans. kthx.

I went an looked at the post you did AZ and i live in new york where it snows and the salt the roads, so i guess teh Aluminized isnt a good look for me. I guess ill have to save an extra 100 and get the stainless.

I like that way that exhaust looks. does look like the stock exhaust. I might end up gettin that one. Im also a person who really likes the Dual look

I also live in NY, but I don't drive my car in the winter, so I just went with the aluminized system. I love the color I painted my car too. It looks purplish at night, which actually looks really good.

I guess i'm just rice for liking huge mufflers and tips:). I haven't heard that about apexi falling apart at the welds, when I got mine the welds looked perfect and with a flashlight aimed down inside the connections appeared to be fine.

BRM sounds pretty good... with the price and such...its on my list, but i wish the muffler part wouldnt look so stock... guess i am a sucker for the round ones...

looking to get a exhaust very soon...cause my mufflers falling apart and its making that awful sound...a hole purposely drilled by previous owner!!! what a DUMB***

Apexi GT Spec 3.74 inch piping 4.5'' tip. And if you want a quiet exhaust , I wouldn't get the GT unless you feel like driving with the silencer in. Still need to get a cheap db meter to measure how loud it actually is so i can prove the cops wrong that it isn't to loud(well i hope at least:) )
