311 is timeless to me, and Incubus has some really good stuff too. And I'll forever <3 the Beasties. :)

And I keep forgetting... the album is called Smash... not Nitro... oops.

Yeah the first track of smash is Nitro (youth energy)

Here are the Lyrics for L.A.P.D.

When cops are taking care of business I can understandBut the L.A. story's gone way out of handTheir acts of aggression, they say they're justifiedBut it seems an obsession has started from the insideThey're shooting anyone who even tries to runThey're shooting little kids with toy gunsTake it to a jury but they don't give a damnBecause the one who tells the truth is always the policeman

Beat all the ****** whoever you seeDon't need a reason(We're) L.A.P.D.

The city of L.A. feels like a prison With helicopters overhead and bullets whizzing byMartial law ain't no solutionPolice brutality's just social pollution

Beat all the white trashBeat whoever you seeDon't need a reason(We're) L.A.P.D.

They say they're keeping the peaceBut I'm not buying it because a billy club ain't much of a pacifier"Protecting your freedom"Now that's just a lieIt's an excuse for power that's more like an alibiLaw and order doesn't really matterWhen you're the one getting bruised and batteredYou take it to a jury, they'll throw it in your faceBecause justice in L.A. comes in a can of mace

Slayer is great... definitely need to be in the right "mood" though. Their old drummer now plays for Godsmack I believe... he is ISANE!!!

Forgot about Nirvana. Only problem with them is that you have to be in the right mood to listen to them, pretty much.

I grew up worshiping RUSH!!!! Ran 15 red lights speeding up Broad St. in Philly following their tour bus to get an autograph from Geddy Lee!

Thought God himself placed them on this earth to rock,,,,,,,that is until I found out it wasn't God,,,and it wasn't Rush.................... it was the Devil who gave usTENACIOUS D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL their dvd is so f-ing funny!

my all time favorite band is THE REPLACEMENTS (wonder how many heard of them!). voted by many writers the best rock band in the eighties. the american rolling stones (in fact keith richards is a huge fan, hand picked them to open on his solo tour). truly embodied what a true rock and roll band should be, unpredictable, incredible songs, ****y yet emotional, and has the ability (that very, very few bands have ever had), to play a stupid, drunken, loud rock and roll song, then follow that up with a tender heartfelt song, and sound sincere on both. there are some bands like that but not many. they were "alternative rock" before there was such a thing. kurt cobain was a huge fan and copped alot of influence from them.

The Rolling Stones, the beatles, Pink Floyd.

Tenacious D. :p

Led Zeppelin is absolutely killer, but I dont know if theyre on the same plane as Floyd or The beatles. 'cept, of course, for Stairway.

The clash= Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly good.

and I personally prefer Chuck Berry to Elvis.

Oh, and For the best knock-down drag-out drunken blue-collar hard *** Rock and roll... Dropkick Murphies is the choice!
