I think it's some sort of sequential gearbox.

When blitz built the rwd gt-r that bensopra now owns they adapted a hollinger dogbox to the VR, totally replacing the rear mounted transaxle and the awd system, bensopra is probably going to use a similar setup in the s13 since they have experience with it already

Here it is at Tokyo Auto Salon.

I'm guessing it's running and moving under it's own power.
I don't think they had time to mess with the exterior in time for Tokyo Auto Salon.
Looks weird without the pop-ups and red paint.

Amazing.

Would have preferred to see it done with a coupe, but I totally understand why hatch.

I guess they tossed the idea of pop-ups due to space.
I want to see it in action!

Love the rest of the car though.

Speedhunters will probably do a feature on it.

Hasn't anyone told them the forgot a few bits in the trailer? Specifically the bumper cover, quarter windows and rear decklid...

I can get along with the front end, its ugly but functional for good flow through the V-mount, but the missing rear end pieces are tacky and definitely serve no purpose. It wouldn't even be legal to track that car without them.

Hahahahahah.
Why would you think that's the finished product?

It's supposedly going to Nardo for high speed testing, they aren't going there with missing windows.

ANYWAY... (oops all caps)

Anyone have any word on that engine management I was asking about earlier? Still genuinely interested in how they've gotten it all running.

I don't love the hood either, but it's functional. Not many other ways to clear that biga$$ engine... As for the vehicle not being finished, it apparently is actually except for the rear bumper. That is the only thing that wasn't ready in time for the TAS. They purposefully left the hatch and the quarter windows off so that ppl at the show could get a great look at the workmanship that went into this.

By the time it gets to Nardo in Italy, it should have it's hatch and windows and maybe even the rear bumper...

Here's the Speedhunters article with all the info:
http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/01/spe ... pra-380sx/

But that aero is frikken bananas. I'm not usually into aero that strays far from OEM, but I love this kit to death!

Oh and plus... 18x11 wheels all around with 295 Yokohama Advan A050's!!! :ohno:

Oh and question... Is this the most powerful S13 of all time? 1100hp, yo...
