They put out some good beers. Had one of their barleywines that was a collaboration with Brew Dog a while back.audtatious wrote:Ya'll should try this one:
What I did was look at Dogfish Head's site to see where they sell near you. Looks mostly like wine stores, but with a few liquor stores such as Paradise Liquors in your hood. I don't know exactly where you live, however, this was just a search with a random zip from Pensacola.SBC 240Z wrote:Re-read my post, I mentioned liquor stores. Pensacola, being the naval town it is still does not show the wide variety of brews you guys are showing off. Sure we have a ton of bars but like I said, it's all Bud, Miller, or maybe, just maybe Sam Adams but they practically consider that an import and charge twice as much for it.
Actually no joke, I went into a local pizza place and got a Sam Adams Boston Lager in a piddly 10oz glass, when I got the bill they were $6.50 each.
Was it brewed with pooped out coffee beans too?PEZi wrote:They put out some good beers. Had one of their barleywines that was a collaboration with Brew Dog a while back.

I love a good Banana Bread and thought I'd give this a try. They state:
"This unique brew combines all the traditional qualities and style of a Charles Wells beer with the subtle flavour of banana
Wells Banana Bread Beer is a popular beer in the Wells and Young’s range of ales. The beer has achieved a number of accolades including winner of "Beer of the Festival" award at CAMRA's London Drinker Festival in March 2002."
They also have a Double Chocolate stout and Waggle Dance (honey brew), which sound interesting.
Soon as they get cold it's a "go"
I basically find most anything Sam Adams brews is crap... advertising is all they have going.Oatmealman wrote:Bought a bottle of this last night and cracked it open tonight.I pretty much agree with what everyone said in this review. Its a little weak on the back side(which i don't mind to much)

I had just bought 4 bottles of my dream, 4 Calling Birds by the Bruery off eBaY. The way they do it is sell them as collectible bottles and state that the value is the bottle not the contents.SBC 240Z wrote:Just curious, is it legal to ship beer or is it one of those "what they don't know don't hurt 'em" kind of deals.

I just wish I would have snagged a few more of the Stranahan's barrel aged YETI's... BEST beer I have ever tasted... seriously. I doubt we'll see one of those again any time soon.Empty V wrote:The Reg Yeti was awesome the Oak Aged is next on the list.

Young's Double Chocolate Stout is amazing and was my gateway into liking beer. There's a bar that just opened up around here that sells nothing but beer, they have about 500 different ones at any given time. Another existing well known bar has a few hundred different ones as well. There's a lot of selection.audtatious wrote:They also have a Double Chocolate stout and Waggle Dance (honey brew), which sound interesting.
What are the brew dates? The last thing I would want is old beer. As I like Wheat beers it seems if they sit around too long they start to taste different/bad.Empty V wrote: I had just bought 4 bottles of my dream, 4 Calling Birds by the Bruery off eBaY. Things have been getting crazy lately.

This is a seasonal that they do every year to the lyrics of the 12 days of Christmas. They're intended to be aged until the 12th day(year). So being that this is the 4th day it's supposed to be aged for 8 more years. I've got 3 bottles left and will probably age 2 of them. The only issue is that I never got the first 3 releases. The same goes with Stone's vertical epic bit theirs is based on the end of the world, 12-12(21)-12.audtatious wrote:What are the brew dates? The last thing I would want is old beer. That's just crazy! I'm guessing black truffle but I wouldn't complain.numbnuts240 wrote:must find

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The best beer in a can.PEZi wrote:Doin' it up right with some Oskar Blues Ten Fidy tonight.... I love imperial stouts....
